We felt welcomed by the hostess, not the waitress, the food was mediocre meaning the eggs were hot, waffle was ok, bacon stale,... cold. I asked for two freshly cooked pieces of bacon. The waitress who had a less than friendly attitude took the old stalebacon reheated and re-served it to me. You can't charge premium prices for cold food poorly prepared using cheap ingredients. Literally just left this place, needless to say, I won't be going back. I ordered take out, a burger (Deuce Coupe) well done,... asked for bacon on the burger (it doesn't come with bacon) and specifically asked for my burger to be cooked well done and cutin half (so I can see if the burger has been cooked well done), garlic fries and a pineapple milkshake. My husband orderedonion rings. Get home..... no bacon on the burger AND the burger was super pink on the inside. This order cost $36.00....foressentially a burger and a milkshake. I didn't complain about the price, but I'm complaining about the price at this pointbecause I paid for a cooked well done burger and now I'm in the position of waiting for this burger to come out of my oven. Iguess Mel's is only good for breakfast foods and burgers cooked rare. Absolutely terrible fail at well done. P.S. the take outcontainer wasn't vented, so the hot burger, sweated up the take out container and the burger bun was extremely soggy andunappetizing. Read more

I love Mels! They have delicious sandwiches and burgers! The price is set right. The environment here was lovely, our waitress... served us quickly and checked on us a few times. I recommend the San Francisco Sandwich! Amazing! I would come back. Read more

Old school American diner style eatery offering a selection of all day breakfast and classic burgers and sandwiches. I like the... vintage old time interior decoration including the mini jukebox at some of the booths. The food was decent and the menu offereda few choices but nothing impressive. The service was excellent (it was early Saturday morning and there were nearly any dine-incustomers). Plenty of free parking in the lot outside. One complaint i had was my toasts were too soft for my liking. Wouldprefer them to be more crispy. Other than this, no other complaints. Read more
