This place is terrific. They have wonderful food and a full bar. It has a great, comfortable atmosphere. I eat there regularly.
This was awful worst Chinese food ever. Been sick since. The kids didn't even like it. "This is fake Chinese food" said the 7... year old. I wouldn't say fake. But not good. Shrimp was chewy. Chicken over breaded. I asked if the Shrimp was breaded i wastold "no its not breaded its dipped in flour and corn starch then fried" um that's breaded. Ask if its Hong Kong style "yes wehave Hong Kong noodles " I think everyone needs to take a cooking course and culinary history class. I will not eat here again. 3 out of 6 of us are sick. I hope they don't cook for their kids this food. I knew it was going to be bad after the HongKong noodles comment. But didn't know how bad. I have been going to this restaurant for many years and have always been more than pleased with the service as well as the food.... I am not one to leave negative reviews, however the past several time I have been here I have experienced issues. Incorrectitems on to-go orders, wait times exceedingly long. About a week or so ago I took my mother here for dinner at 4:30 we waited 30minutes for a bowl of soup another 25 minutes later for an appetizer. The restaurant was pretty much empty when we were there,started to fill up around 5:30. An hour and a half into our evening I asked the young lady if they forgot we ordered entrees.She responded with we only have 1 cook. I then asked to take the food to go as we had waited so long. Then after confirming allof the items were in the bag so we could leave, I thought I had better check. They were not all there. 3 stars for the fabulousfood and kind staff. The service. I called ahead and left work early to catch them open. It was my first time trying their Singapore Noodles. I had... tons of questions as a very pleasant young woman got them all answered. I showed up and I was rather impressed at how elegantyet welcoming this place is. When I first walked in I was a bit unsure where the proper place for pick up was. I was greetedwith a smile and excellent service as they were expecting me. The order was piping hot and ready. So sorry I forgot her namebut she welcomed me back another time and I can't wait to try those award winning Mai Tai she spoke of. You Nailed customerservice. ( I'll update yr name later)???? The Food. Mike did an excellent job of explaining the Singapore noodle dish. Mylate hubby introduced me to this dish and this place did an excellent job of preparing, best in Sacramento/ Carmichael thatI've had. Fresh items too. I expected bigger prawns though, not salad shrimp. I added one spice of my own. I'm a cook too. Asfor the Egg Foo Young... PERFECT. ( That is not easily done.) Personally, I would smooth the lumps a bit more in the gravyand if you like the gravy part of this, I suggest Order extra.( Expect to pay.) Its common. This was my first time eating here. I had sweet and sour chicken and steamed rice. The dish needed more sauce, was a bit dry... and bland. The restaurant is nice inside and has a bar. Darker setting with purple lights and white linen on the tables. May bea longer wait due to staffing shortage currently. Read more
