My visit on 08-8-22 was unusual. While the main barista was engaged in a lengthy conversation with the guest in front of me,... the others behind the counter joined in the discussion leaving me waiting. I left and went to la bou. Some of us have a job toreport to so I had no patience for this. Not a good customer experience and I did report it to management. Read more

I went to work out this morning, then we decided to take a walk to the state capitol. Across the street is a Starbucks right on... the corner. It is quite spacious with a very relaxing atmosphere. I Iike the fact they don't have too much merchandisecluttering up the place. The barrista, Anthony recommended the Blonde Americano which was a nice choice. This is great place tomeet friends on the weekend and then explore the state capitol and restaurants in the area. Read more
Very Good Service, Good Coffee, Great Location Visiting the California State Capital? While we have lots of really good craft... coffee shops, you owe it to yourself to walk across L Street and pay a visit to downtown?s newest Starbucks. Across from theCapital, and adjacent to Sees Candy and one of my favorite Jamaican restaurants - this Starbucks always has a buzz going on.While many places downtown die at 3 pm each day when the State workers commute home, you can grab a coffee here till 6 pm. Thecoffee is your usual Starbucks fare. This store is notable for its extra large size and giant windows that bring in visually allthat this key downtown corner offers. The decor is 50?s hip urban, the people watching is great, the only slight against thespace is that the place is really loud due to concrete floors and ceilings. Absolutely the swankiest Starbucks yet ???? I happened to be there the first day they opened and was shocked by the amount of... seating to relax and watch the tourists walk by. The staff is friendly, the service is fast (so far), and it's not overlycrowded... which is shocking considering they're directly across from the Capitol building on probably the busiest corner indowntown ???? Maybe people just haven't looked up from their cell phones and noticed it's open????????? Read more
