This was a first for me and I must say delightfully surprised of the delicious food and wine. It is a small and intimate... restaurant so prepare yourself. The only bad thing is the noise level increases with larger groups. Read more

Good food, but slow service. Overall felt a bit overpriced. Also, inside needs some art or plants to create an ambiance of some... sort. As bland as a meeting room currently Read more

Had a delicious brunch on the patio. The food was delicious and obviously prepared with love. Angelica, our server, was... delightful and never missed a beat or the chance to offer a smile, even though she was the only server for a very full venue. Also met some lovely people on the patio. I will definitely go again! Read more

I wish I would have found this place sooner!!! The food is absolutely DELICIOUS! Their menu changes every week, but with how... great everything we ordered was I am sure that each week their menu must be great no matter what is on it. Their staff are verynice and super attentive. We sat outside on their cute patio that looks out to a cute East Sac neighborhood. I will for sure becoming back here and highly recommend for anyone looking for great food in a chill/relaxed environment. There?s also plenty ofstreet parking! Read more

Wife and I stepped in and could not have been happier. I was thrilled with the lamb sliders and the cambozola prosciutto salad.... My wife was all smiles with the lasagna she ordered. We're very much looking forward to our next visit to Poppy. Read more

When my husband and I finished our meal, we said to eachother, "this was the best way to end a long week". Let me take you back... to 1.5 hours earlier when we walked into Poppy. We hustled over at 7 because they close at 8. Well, I was impressed that unlikemany restaurants, the staff here were super friendly and greeted hungry guests without any attitude, even if they walked in 15mins before close and let them stay to enjoy their meal. They were pretty busy but our waitress let us know to have a seatwhere we would like and she would bring us menus and help answer any questions we may have. We sat down and 2 minutes later shecame by with menus. I mean, everything looked scrumptious! I honestly was having a hard time deciding what I wanted to order. But we finally settled on their Cambazola salad, fried green tomatoes, lamb sliders, and vegetarian lasagne. Don't even get mestarted on dessert. I seriously considered ordering one of everything on the menu. I ultimately ordered 3-don't judge! Pleasesee my photos of our food. That's cool. I'll wait. Welcome back! Are you hungry now??! First, that salad. It's like a flavorexplosion with all the components of a fancy cheese board, but beautifully served and perfectly balanced. Figs, prosciutto, arugula, creamy cambazola, candied walnuts and the freaking best wine poached pear I have ever had!! That accompanied with acouple of pieces of focaccia and life was complete. The fried green tomatoes were fantastic. Super crunchy, not soggy with asavory cornmeal crust. The lamb sliders were juicy and the sweet potato chips were phenomenal. My lasagne? I'd eat an entire panof it. The noodles were thin, but provided that nice soft chew on a lasagne, the cheeses were perfectly proportioned to thespinach and eggplant. Nicely browned on top with a great sauce that made it dangerously easy to eat. The service? Great. Superfriendly, efficient and just nice! I know they were working hard because they were busy and like s Read more
