Reviews for Ph? Xe Lua in Sacramento, CA

We all know South Sacramento has some of the most amazing & authentic Asian restaurants. I've been to my fair share of them over... the years and have rarely been disappointed. Which takes me to a business that has withstood the test of time. This is noneother than "Pho Xe Lua" Having been opened since 2007 with hundreds of fairly positive reviews, this place is located directlyon Stockton Blvd. and just north of Fruitridge Rd. Their menu is very extensive as they offer a mix of Chinese, Thai, &Vietnamese all under one roof. Sometimes this can be a turnoff as too many options may not necessarily be a good thing. Whetheryour appetite is craving Chow Mein, Fried Rice, Charbroiled dishes (with rice or noodles), Pho, Pad Thai, Teriyaki, or anextensive amount of beverages (coffee, lemonades, teas, shakes), this place definitely has it all. Since this place focusesmainly as Vietnamese, I chose this as my food of choice for lunch. I was also drawn to this place because they are one of theparticipating restaurants on DoorDash. I don't use their app often as I enjoy picking up food myself at the actual restaurant(to meet the employees, management, etc.). However, what drew me here was their $2.99 delivery fee and only a 25-35 minuteturnaround time to get my food. So I took my chances and thankfully it did indeed take only 30 minutes. My delivery driverbrought my food at the front entrance to my office building, sealed in a plastic bag as the food was piping hot in thecontainer. The entree of choice that I ordered was one of their most popular, the #40 - "Com Ch? Giò Tôm Th?t N?ng (Bò Ho?cGà)". It was essentially a charbroiled pork dish complete with skewered shrimp, steamed rice, a veggie egg roll, & salad. Italso came with a side of dressing, soy sauce, and chopsticks. The overall portion was quite generous. But words of adviceordering through DoorDash; the app charged $12.95 for this entree while the restaurants' website only charges $9.95 for this. After you Read more

My husband and I go here sometimes for nostalgic reasons and their pricing is pretty good. Last time we went, the food quality... wasn't as good as previously (and there were flies) so minus one star for those two reasons. Otherwise, great place and nicestaff. Read more

Great noodle soup, quick service and tons of seating. Had the spicy noodle soup. Broth was yummy and it came with lots of meat.... Definitely worth the price. Read more

Pho and coconut juice are so good! The pho soup is very flavorful. They also have small size bowl to extra large size. Bun cha... sauce was good and vegetables are okay. However, the meat is not that great. I don?t expect the high quality meat but at leastit shouldn?t feel like chewing rubber. Maybe I would try again with no meat foods. Read more

We came on Monday at noon, crowed. We tried many items. The canh chua (sour soup with cat fish), lamb noodle soup are delicious.... Recommended. Rice plate is ok. The apperizer plate has 5 items, the beef teriyaki was good, the deep fried items were notcrispy, under cooked. Not recommend the mushroom bobchoy, milk tea was too sweet, and Vietnamese pancake was super tough. Read more

Honestly the best Pho in the region. You have to come on down to little Saigon and this place in particular for the real stuff... that tastes so good. Great on a cold day, great when you have a sore throat, just very good food. While I am not a fan ofCoriander or Cilantro, I still really enjoy the soup here. This place is very popular but despite the amount of people the soupcomes out quick. They prefer cash. The food is very affordable. For less than $15 you get filled up with their largest sizebowl. My friend and I were in the mood for Vietnamese food and had a hard time finding a restaurant that had a dine in option. This... place had a large parking lot and we had our temperature taken by a machine just inside the door. Hand sanitizer available andthe staff were diligent about wiping down surfaces. The food here was great and was prepared quickly. Great presentation andportion. We were able to enjoy a leisurely meal without feeling rushed. Stop by if you're in the area. The price is veryreasonable. Read more
