Had some fried rice, chow mein, egg rolls, and kung pao chicken. All dishes were bland. Kung pao chicken had no heat; however,... it was not overcooked. Chow mein was ok, neither good nor bad. Egg rolls were standard. Fried rice was also mediocre and was notbad but not memorable either. The portions were large and filling. Enough for another meal. This review is for Chang?s byRaley?s. Worst place I?ve ever gone to in my life. I can?t even describe how disrespectful and horrible these people are. Simply asking... for my sweet n sour pork to be placed into a separate container so it doesn?t mix with my rice and noodles and I was turned awayfor business. I even offered to pay for the container and was still refused. I will never eat at this place and want everyone toknow how disrespectful they are to their customers. I had the potstickers and 2 combo meals. The potstickers were amazing no sauce needed. The rest of the food wasn?t that great.... The rice well was plain rice. The chow mein was greasy but ok. My chicken was dry and not super flavorful. My Husband?s broccolibeef wasn?t great. The beef was gray but the sauce and broccoli were good. Overall I may give this place another chance but notfor a while. I hope they improve the quality of their product. Read more
Really disappointed. I ordered a combination plate with Mongolian beef. What I received was like 3 pounds of fried rice and... chow mein with a small flavor less beef portion. No spice, vegetables- the ingredients that would make this dish delicious. Icalled and was told that this is "how they always make it." Versus that they could remake it. I found this place on a whim a few years ago. My husband and I have ate here ever since. If your looking for large portions... because you have a large family or for whatever reason, this is the place. I ordered their sesame chicken it was to die for! Asfor the service its alright I've had nights where its better then other nights i can't complain about it to much because i can'tits never ever been so terrible that i don't want to go back... This was a first for us to dine at this diner and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions of food for the low... price of a combo meal. Not only are the portions generous but the food taste very good and very hot, fresh from the stove.The server is very friendly and helpful too. We had left overs to take home and the server placed our left over food in the container herself. Great service. We will definitely eat here if we pass this way again. I highly recommend this place. So this place is awesome. I?ve been a loyal customer to this Family for 30 years. Original was down on W El Camino across from... Scary Bel Air. Had one in Davis too. But the kids and the grandkids of the Original brothers run this one. Secret Menu itemHunan Beef. So good but is Best in house straight off the fire with plain white rice. My daughter always hogs the GeneralChicken. My son the Chicken Chow Mein. Pork Chiw Fun too. We switch between HotNSour and Wonton soup. I have a friend fromOregon who swears by their Walnut prawns if he?s within 100 miles. Pot Stickers are the real deal. Ask for the ?real? hotmustard if you order the egg rolls. Read more
