Ordered 2 pc Catfish fillet with Shrimp. Red Snapper fillet with Shrimp. Both meals were hard fried and not in the crispy way.... Tasted like it was all fried in old grease. Fish fillets were dried out. Shrimp was over breaded and fried HARD. Desert wasPeach Cobbler. The crust was akin to plastic and the peaches were swimming in Cinnamon. They had everything I wanted southern fried. No lies. Very well seasoned, and I can appreciate that.I would say that some of my... items like the fish and shrimp were too well done. I really like this place. Prices are pretty standard and there's plenty to choose from. The gumbo is good, just needed to add a... bit of salt, the Mac n cheese is good, and the fried scallops were amazing. Read more
Disappointed they are always out of gizzards and calamari. Their mac n cheese is a huge disappointment for a place that has soul... food items. It's literally elbow noodles mixed with velveeta cheese. Come on now, you know real southern mac n cheese is notmade that way. I hope the peach cobbler is at least decent. Read more
MAN!! you can't miss going to JJ's, if you can hang try a three item plate. Full of your favorites. I had bassa fish with... chicken wings and shrimp. It was enough to feed two! The wings crispy, the fish cooked to perfection, and the jumbo shrimpspeaks for itself. All seasoned to my liking ???? it was worth the 20 minute wait. Man I'm thinking about JJ 's right now!!!Delicious!!!! Oh!! Plenty of fries, don't forget your hot sauce, and tartar....I can keep going they have plenty of desert aswell. This place isn't so bad. There chicken strips are really good and still fresh and hot when I got home but there fries wasn't the... best. It's not the worst either I just wish the fries were fresh since it tasted pretty old and super crunchy and kinda hard.This place seems like it's super understaffed as well. I tried calling them twice but never even answered. And when I got thereto place an order I only noticed 2 people were working and after I placed my order they said it would take 20 minutes when itseem like it was very slow there and not much orders ahead of mine. But other than that the chicken were like a 8/10 and thefries are like maybe a 4/10 lol price for my small chicken tender meal was about 14 dollars Read more
The Filet of Sole was over cooked not enough substance to the fish extremely thin pieces. The shrimp was Not Jumbo. I believe I... was over charged. I had two very thin pieces of fish and about 4 small shrimp, fries two slices of bread. This was a little shyof $20.00???? Not really satisfied. Will cook my own. Please do better. Read more
