Went for $1 taco Tuesday and they?re taking advantage of price increases as their $1 tacos are now $2. Prices on meat have... increased but have not doubled, so the reasoning behind raising prices this much is nothing more than greed. You can find muchbetter quality AND price down the street. What a perfect way to end your night...or start your morning. Jalapenos is a great spot to get some authentic Mexican food when... you're out & about in the area. First pro, the food is amazing. Second, the staff is amazing. And third, they're open late!There is indoor & outdoor seating but do not fret. The outdoor seating has a beautiful California bear mural on the top of thebuilding, and there are heaters outside to warm you & your friends up on those cold nights. Prices are pretty decent and theyhave specials! Their maza even taste good on its own (my mouth is currently watering). Oh & yes, there are public restrooms herefor you to use. My friends & I stopped by after a long night dancing & drinking & celebrating & it was one of the best decisionswe made. & the cashier was so sweet. This place is only open Tuesdays and Thursdays but is totally worth the wait. There is a really laid back vibe with very... attentive service (family owned?). They serve the BEST churro I?ve ever had. Tacos were very affordable and some of the best intown. Definitely stop by. cute little outdoor spot in the middle of midtown. Read more
Soooo good!! Perfect taco Tuesday spot. Can't beat the $1 tacos and the flavors are so wonderfully authentic I felt like I was... eating at my abuelitas house. We had the calabacitas, rajas, chorizo(soyrizo) con papa and mole con pollo. Super yummyvegetarian options available which is awesome! Pictured is one of the best micheladas I've ever had ???????? Grabbed me street fries and 6 tacos. The tacos were good. I liked the steak in dark sauce, then the chicken, and then the... carnitas. The steak and chicken were not dry and had flavor. The carnitas on the other hand was super dry. I had to pour tons ofthe sauce over the two tacos. The street fries were different but was so good. It's a pretty big size. I wasn't able to finishthem. Hopefully, they'll still be good later. Oh I also got horchata which tasted really watered down. I wouldn't get thatagain. Read more
