Reviews for Grill City in Sacramento, CA
Favorite place for Halo-Halo! But seemed like this place needs good customer service training! And no space for rolling eyes... to customers from Cashier Ruby! Read more

The Filipino food here is delicious! The staff and politeness here lacks majorly.
Be Back rating- won't see me for awhile The one star is for the politeness of the servers and the dinuguan/tinumis wasn't that... bad in flavor. However, it had one piece of actual pork meat. The rest of the solid chunks in the dark liquid were tripe. Again, decent taste but they really tried to save money by skimping on the meat. The biggest problem was that we spent $12(!!!) on apiece of fish that turned out to be bad surrounded by tons of rice(see the pic). How about less rice and another side? Howabout an edible piece of fish? Since we took it to go, we didn't notice any of this until we got home, 15 miles away. Theexperience was forgettable...although impossible to forget. It's better to make a dollar profit from a thousand orders eachthan $10 from 10. It's better to make sure you're giving the public a good product. Your business will be around longer. Youever wonder why there are so few Filipino restaurants as compared to other Asian restaurants? This experience could be a bigreason why. Hmmm. Read more
Standard Filipino dishes. The crispy Pata seems too dry in my opinion. People are nice so it is always a pleasant shopping... experience. You'll also find several bakeries, Vietnamese and Indian cuisine restaurants nearby. Overall, a good place to getyour Asian foodie fix. Read more
One of the best place to shop if your looking for fresh seafoods. They also offer different variety of foods, fruits and... vegetable. And if you're into Asian food specially Filipino dishes, then you are on the right place! You can get all thedelicacies and hard to find ingredients here. It feels like you're just at home doing your regular shopping. Also, they have theGrill City where a wide variety of all the popular Filipino cooked dishes are sold fresh from the pot. It's great especiallywhen you want to impress your house guest with these cuisines. And for desserts there's the bibingka or rice cakes, you canalso settle with famous brands of Filipino Ice Creams or you can grab a Red Ribbon just by the door where all their signaturepastries and cakes are sold. 20Oct2022-bought an entree (#6 squid+ kare-kare) for dinner on my way home for $18.48 ($16.99 + 1.49 tax) The grilled squid was... 4" body long with onions stuffed in it and kare-kare was awful!....tasted like vinegary sour! It's either they put vinegar inthe recipe (who on earth would put vinegar in kare-kare?) or it's already spoiling-threw most of the kare-kare (just don't knowwhat's going to happen to my stomach afetr a few hours). For the price with this food quality, not woeth it and definitely NOTrecommendable! Read more
