We LOVE this spot! Wide selection of natural and organic wines both on their menu (14wines available by the glass, and they... change weekly - who else has that kind of variety?!) and in their bottle shop. My partner and I usually enjoy a flight but lovethe option of a half or full glass which allows us to enjoy our favs or build our own flight and explore the unique offerings wedon?t see elsewhere in town. I wish I had the time to tell you how many bottles are available in their market but I do not havetime to count, nor do I want to.. but props to Good News for providing a space where we can explore wine from Portugal, Austria,Serbia, Texas, France or Sacramento without leaving the grid. We love this place, we love the team, and appreciate the no-fuss,welcoming, inclusive, and community oriented approach to wine. Read more
Let me start with... I have choices on where to eat. If that gets you to read the whole post you'll be wiser for it. The food... was good. The wine was good. The service was good. I don't think I need to be forced to pay 18 percent gratuity on food andalcohol too. Yes I said forced. You have no choice and after reading the menu a 4th time I finally saw it in tiny print. Thegratuity was the entire bill including tax. So you decide where you are eating. I know I have. Super cute wine shop and cafe!! Cafe menu is modest but bagel sandwiches and brown butter cookies we had were fantastic! The... shop lots of wine options and has prepackeges cheese, charcuterie, and side dishes that you'd need for a picnic! Highlyrecommended popping in for wine flight or food! Read more
Good news is a good time. Natural wine that rotates very frequently but also a HUGE bottle shop to choose from for take away or... to drink there. We loved the diner feel, the friendly, unpretentious staff and the great music. Also, bagels on Saturdays! Webasically live here now. Read more
I always make time to hit up Good News Wine when I come to Sacramento now. Super interesting selection of wines. The space is... clean and comfortable and has good vibes. The people are also super nice, way less snooty than other wine shops I?ve been to. Great place to fill up on a snack or have a meal. The market has a couple staples and things to make a weeknight dinner extraspecial. Cool concept in a cool space and location. Highly recommend for a chill and tasty time. Read more

Was in town visiting friends and we did a takeaway order. The owner helped find wines for our particular tastes (the flirtation... in red is divine) and the food is spectacular. Why tomato jam with the fig and feta sandwich? The combo of savory and sweet, cutthrough with the sharpness of the feta and the cleanliness basil is amazing. And the pea hummus. Delicious. Between the wine and vermouth flights there is something for everyone. The organic wines are thoughtfully picked out, allowing... for well rounded tastings. I do wish they had a few more local wineries available for tasting. Read more
