Looking for a nice and cozy family atmosphere, well Freeport Bar and Grill have you covered. We started with garlic fries and... drinks we devoured those very fresh fries they were crispy to the last bite with flavors bursting in your mouth. For entrees Ihad the Yankee Pot roast and my husband had a bacon deluxe hamburger. Each of our dishes were freshly made there was no freezeror sitting in pots all day taste. Homemade flavors that pleased my soul (yep, the pot roast was so fabulous I had them make meup two orders to go) and service that kept us smiling and laughing, I love a cozy hidden spot that can chase away the blues andif you need one The Freeport Bar and Grill is definitely on the "A" list. Came here looking for a place to have a quick bite and we were shopping at Delta shore when I search for a place to have tacos... this place popped up. FYI don't eat their tacos they're not actual tacos. we ordered the sampler plate and everything on it wassomething I could have made from home out of my freezer which is pretty much what I think this was. The drinks on the other handwere phenomenal. The menu is very small and I'm sure that their actual plates are probably phenomenal as well but I chose asampler I actually came to have tacos so I ordered the only thing that had tacos and was slightly disappointed. This is my favorite dinner spot. Bar is perfect. Wes,. Our dinner server is perfect and the food is terrific! I support... independent restaurants as I am a former independent owner. Everything I have had here is reasonable price and tasty. I'mgetting hungry just thinking about it. I thru my back out so it'll be a short time before we can get back in. I was staying in an inn nearby and ordered for takeout. When we arrived at the b&g we were greeted by friendly waitress with... wide smile. We had to wait for our change and food to come out, but in the meantime we had friendly conversation with someregulars. We ordered the seafood, tacos, and soup. Everything was great, except tacos were a little over fried. I highlyrecommend seafood from them, as it was very fresh and the best I've had lately. We had dinner here a couple of nights ago.. I ordered the steak sandwich and it was pretty awful. One bite and it was like I was... chewing on leather. Told the waiter about the steak (although obviously not his fault) and he apologized but nothing was doneafter that. Waste of $24 - definitely will not be going back anytime soon. Be Back Rating- still will! The only reason for a 4 star is because I expected to be checked on while we waited for a friend to... join us. They were busy, yes....but we sat at the table for 30 minutes feeling lonely. Otherwise, the French onion soup, fishand chips, and sampler platter were very good. I was not disappointed. I am not sure what my friend ordered, but I'm sure heliked it as he did finish his food. A couple of pictures with this review had some of the food already eaten, so don't bescared off by the lack of portions. The waitress(different one who took over) was on her game and very polite.
