Denny's seems to consistently be understaffed intentionally. You are almost guaranteed to wait to be seated even if no one is... waiting. This isn't a covid thing and it's not a "we can't find people to work here" thing. It has always been like this foryears. It's too bad because I think their food is pretty good. Not awesome but if they had service of any kind I'd go moreoften. The workers seem to be doing the jobs or 2-3 people so I don't blame them for being unfriendly or mundane. I'd say 50% ofthe time I go in this restaurant I walk back out and go find somewhere else to eat. Either there is people waiting and I can seeonly 1 person working so I know I won't be eating for an hour, or I wait 4-5 minutes without someone greeting me so I justleave. I would never go to this dennys again! My spouse and I waited over 40 minutes for food, that wasn?t why we were upset we get... understaffed but just at least acknowledge and say hey I?m aware of food taking long but it?s almost up or, tell us when we sitlike hey were understaffed food is taking longer than usual.
