I went there for my birthday dinner and the food was great. I had a baked chicken with risotto and trumpet mushrooms and it was... delicious. They also gave me free of charge an apple, pecan upside down cake and it was delicious. Our waiter was great,humorous and very knowledgeable and very attentive. More people should give Dawsons a try for special occasions or just fordinner out. Read more
This was a pretty decent steakhouse. The service was great. The entire staff was very attentive and nice. The food was... good. Crab cakes- these were the best things I had all night. The waiter was not lying when he said they were some of the bestin town. Filet- the filet was good. I felt like it was missing something was missing though, it was just a little lacking infull flavor. Ribeye- the steak was good. It was not the best steak I had, but it was still tasty. It was prepared very nicelyand cooked to a perfect medium rare. Carrot cake- I do not normally go in for dessert, but this cake was surprisingly good. Read more

Amazing evening. Treated like royalty by Andy, our rock star server, and Danielle, hostess extraordinaire. They took our coats... and kept mindful of our time since we were going to see the Nutcracker after dinner. We never felt rushed and they were veryattentive, courteous. Dinner was delicious and the portions were perfect. They offered a Theater Special but we opted for thefilet minon and the swordfish, both cooked perfectly. The performing arts center was within a 2-min walking distance. After theshow we came back for a night cap and the deviled eggs. The ambience is lovely. It's located inside the Hyatt so it was warm andout of the wetness of the rain. It was inviting, and quiet enough for conversation. Andy, Danielle, and the staff who attendedto us made our night romantic and memorable. We highly recommend and will be returning. Read more
Came here for my best friend and I?s birthday and I have been here before with a positive experience but this time it felt just... like no one really cared. Very dissatisfied and upsetting. We both ordered two different steaks. My New York strip was supposedto be rare-medium rare and her Filet was supposed to be medium. They must have flipped the orders because mine was over cookedand hers was way under. After mentioning it to the server, he came back from the kitchen and recommended we swap plates.???????? Really! Swap plates. No offer to recook our steaks or even an apology. After this experience, I don?t know if I cango back. Only got 2 stars because of the killer gin martini the bartender made. Read more

This restaurant was a pleasure to visit. The food was outstanding (you'd hope so considering the prices) but we also got... absolutely amazing service from our waiter, Brandon. He was incredibly attentive and took the experience up several notches justby being very, very good at his job. If you're looking for something special for a date night, save up and come here -- it'sworth every penny. Also, this might be a personal thing, but even though they knew it was my birthday, they didn't sing to me,which I was very glad for.
