The chicken and waffles were great and Jeff (Golden Retriever) loved the beef and hash. Sitting on the patio late in the... morning was nice and relaxing. Not too loud due to work hours and a little cool out. Inside looked comfy and inviting. Servicewas great as well. The lady working behind the bar counter was more than happy to come outside to take my order and I never hadto ask for refills nor did I feel too attended to. First time there and overall it was a great experience. Read more

Typical diner fare in a modern, gastropub-like setting. The food is average but solid. Note that prices for some of their items... are higher than what's printed in their menu. Eg the "deli sandwich" is actually $10, not the $9 advertised in theirmenu. Their sandwiches were straightforward but good. Chicken fingers were a hit with the kids, and the turkey rice soup wassolid. Read more

It?s good but I love when a breakfast place has a unique niche item. I didn?t see that. It was very basic.

First time visiting on 7/2 about 2pm. Place was not busy at all for the lack of service received. We ordered some cocktails to... start & for the 30minutes we waited to receive some nasty drinks we were ready for the check. Place was dirty every booth hadplates while the chick(server) was walking around with her cellphone, texting and chatting it up with other staff on duty, Noonefelt the need to clean the place up for aslong as we were there. Not sure who manages this place but I would highly keep acloser eye on things not a good look. Read more

I have been here a few times. Each previous visit, I ordered breakfast food. It was ok, varying between fair and mediocre. ... But I was on J and wanted to stop to eat something and decided to go to Cornerstone. I ordered a hamburger, and literally toldmy sever I wanted my hamburger "plain, with nothing on it." What I received is in the picture I am uploading, a hamburger thatwas absolutely slathered in mayonnaise. I told my server, I asked for my burger plain, with nothing on it, and I would likeanother burger. This was irritating, but whatever. The menu says that burgers come with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mayo. Iunderstood when I ordered it "plain, with nothing on it," that it would not include any of these things. But I guess mistakescan be made and I was just a little annoyed at having to wait longer to get my food. What happened next, though, caused me tonearly lose my mind. My server came back to my table and told me that it was the restaurant's policy that when someone orders ahamburger "plain, with nothing on it" that it would include mayonnaise. She told me that I should have ordered it "dry" inorder to not include the mayonnaise. I said, well, I do not understand how it could be that "plain, with nothing on it" couldbe interpreted to mean "please put mayonnaise on my burger." She told me that that was the way restaurant did things and thiswas how I need to order next time. There will not be a next time. I cannot tolerate that level of cognitive dissonance, toengage with the world with the understanding that mayonnaise is somehow ontologically and categorically special, mandatory yetundisclosed, must always be included even if you order something "plain, with nothing on it." It seems to me if you are aserver, and you know that ordering a burger "plain, with nothing on it" will be interpreted by the restaurant to mean, "pleaseput mayonnaise on my burger," you might want to notify the customer and clarify whether they want may Read more

I absolutely love Cornerstone! The staff is very welcoming and always provides excellent service. Great venue, it?s very... spacious all around, with an open floor plan and lots of additional seating out front and in back. Lots of cool artworkthroughout. Perfect place to grab a drink and hang out. Drinks are priced very well. All the food is delicious, but definitelycheck out their breakfast menu. You?ll be glad you stopped by. -Anthonyxibarrax Read more

This is nice place with a fairly large sitting area compared to other establishments in downtown Sacramento. The booths are... comfortable and give you good privacy. The breakfast came out extremely fast. Within 10 minutes of my order. This place hasparking on the street and in the back. Make sure you get here early or call ahead of time and it is popular and fills upquickly. Very nice it opens early at 7am. I will go back. The bacon was extraordinary best bacon I have seen in a restaurantfor a long time. Read more
