We made reservations for a party of 12. We had to give a credit card to hold the reservation. I spoke with 2 people at the... restaurant over the phone before we arrived and not one told us we were being seated outside. The restaurant is smaller. Theyfix the price at $72/person for a party our size. It was hot but they had misters and an automatic shade. The food was good butnot great for the price. It was definitely an experience. My friends and I came on a Wednesday around 6pm and we could barely find any street parking. This is not the restaurant's fault... or anything but it was terrible to have to walk 4 blocks in the 100 degrees heat. Anyways, once we walked in we felt better. Thedecor is very nice but we sat by the kitchen and it was hot. The AC didn't seem to cool the whole place down enough. As for thefood and service, it was good but not amazing. I dont know what I was expecting but I left kind of disappointed for the price Ipaid for the whole meal. Although the cornbread was the best cornbread I've ever had, the chicken drumsticks and some of theother dishes just didn't wow me. The NY strip steak was just ok. Some parts were very fatty and chewy. Overall it was a goodexperience but not sure if I would want to come back, especially during the summer. Read more
Super tasty meal! Our server was so attentive. Really appreciated his care in making sure dietary restrictions were met. (I... think his name was Andrew?) The chicken drumsticks had the meat cleaned off the bone for easy, clean handling and there was somuch meat on them. I was take it or leave it when we ordered those but I?m glad we got them. Tender and tasty. While we didn?tget the black cod that I was excited about because it didn?t meet our necessary restriction, we did get the lamb pavé. It wasso tasty! Update: Went back with my husband. He LOVED everything he drank and ate here!! So very worth going here. The chicken plate was a... whole chicken! Had enough of our two main dishes to bring home and enjoy the next day. See pictures I've added for moredelicious foods we tried here. (Sorry they are a bit on the darker side. Ambient lighting Is a little darker where we weresitting.) Came here for the first time for my friend Keely's birthday. The best place I've eaten at in Sacramento! I'm trulyamazed. There's something for everyone here! I'm on Restricted diet and their menu accommodated all my restrictions. I didn'tget a sick tummy or anything after eating here. I'll be going back again. My friends brought me here for a birthday dinner and it was fabulous! The staff was great and refreshed our main plates quite... often, which was really nice. I really enjoyed all the food but the dumb sticks with yogurt and Brussel sprouts with pear weretop notch. The only thing we didn?t enjoy was the Treviso salad, it was super bitter. We sat out side and they had some heatersbut they really just took the edge off the cold. Dress appropriately and don?t try to wear cute shoes like I did - you?ll haveice cubes for toes haha. The atmosphere and food were fantastic. Great vibe, very warm and comfortable while not feeling like I was cramped in around a... bunch of strangers. Every dish I had was delicious and would order again. The only part I found disappointing was their wine bythe glass menu. I ordered the Hungarian Red Blend and it was bad.
