Reviews for Bangkok@12 Thai in Sacramento, CA
I was shocked at the prices charged now. They went up so much that our favorite place we drive 160 miles total just to eat cost... 30% more then our other restaurants within 80 miles. This is not even a fancy place. The food has changed qty. More American.Non spicy even when asked for spicy. Given a little bowl of peppers to add. Not the same. For 3 people our bill was over 150.00.Dishes were 18.00 and some lower. The soda machine needed to be cleaned, it didn't taste right. I asked no ice. But I see smalldark flakes floating in the glass. Even the rice was expensive. And you didn't get as much as you once got. Just sodisappointing. And it's not in a good area. Homeless sitting on the sidewalk leaning against their building. But they chargenow as if the area was downtown business, white table cloth. Service was great! They knew us as soon as we walked in. Sadly wewill not be back. Breaks my heart. Was one of our favorite places. Oh we order vegetarian on a few dishes, came with chickenby mistake. Staff caught that, but that dish came out to late. We had to box it for home. Read more
Great customer service. Came for my daughter's birthday here. Was not a busy day. We ordered crispy rolls, papaya salad, tomyum... soup, drunken noodles, and stir fry. Was served with gunters coconut ice cream on the house as it was my daughter'sbday. Except Tom yum everything was awesome the best was drunken noodle. Tomyum was good but could have had more flavors. Butthe additional sauces helped and I think by default they serve mild version. Read more
I stopped in here for a solo lunch during a weekday. Walked over from the Sheraton Hotel. I ordered their lunch special on the... board which was the Mango Red Curry with Shrimp. I also had to get my Thai Iced Tea fix which was perfect on a hot day. Thecurry was delicious and flavorful. The shrimp were large and cooked perfectly. Veggies were not overcooked either. The rice wasa bit hard, but edible. I let it soak up the curry sauce so that helped. They got me in and out of there pretty quick which wasa bonus since I was on a time crunch. Parking may be challenging since it's located downtown on the corner of 12th and IStreet. There's metered parking and garages nearby. Read more
This was disappointing. A nice walk from the convention center and recommended by a couple people, I went there one day. Fairly... friendly staff, busy enough. My food tasted like bland Chinese food. No spice really, and a very, very average flavor. It didnot taste like Thai food. My salad was lettuce with some Asian vinaigrette. I don't recommend this place. Read more
Came at the tail end of lunch hour and got super quick and friendly service. I asked for recommendations, and got the Pad Kra... Proa, and it was good! Something different that isn't noodles. Very fresh tasting and came out quickly. Very decent prices. Read more

I grabbed a lunch special from here. The food itself tasted good, fine, authentic. The red curry with chicken, yum. Comes with a... simple salad. Presentation is really lacking though...the bowl was dripping and didn't look like appetizing, and maybe just mypreference but the plastic plate made it feel cheap. The prices are definitely not cheap enough to warrant that kind of vibe soI was unimpressed. Read more
