What a discovery! Been coming to Maine for the past 30 years and it was a first at Sea Salt and a refreshing discovery. If you... want to have amazing local seafood but in different ways then the local classics, come here. Fried and other clssics such asfresh lobster, lobster roll, fresh or baked haddock are available but great twist such as seafood pasta, mac n cheese, gumbo andother fun dishes to discover. We checked out of the campground and wanted to stop for a quick lunch before traveling home. We definitely scored! This place is... very family friendly, had a huge parking lot for out truck and trailer, friendly staff, and all the food was delicious. Wouldhighly recommend based on our experience today for lunch. This was the first seafood place I tried in Maine, and I was pretty disappointed. The staff and location were great but the food... itself was lacking. I got the crab roll, and really only enjoyed the meal because of the fries. The serving size was kind ofpoor too for the price which was around $80 for two people. I wish it had more flavor overall. I figured a place that pumps out high volume wholesale lobster out of the back would also look good in my plate and mouth.... BINGO! Boiled lobster and steamers were A#1. Skimpy on the steamers but very tasty. Nice hot corn on the cob and pretty goodslaw. We will be back. Read more
Sea Salt is a place that I will always recommend to people who are passing through Saco! It is a great little seafood spot with... lots of outdoor seating, great service and a large (but in a good way) menu! The fish tacos/taco salad is awesome. The food isso fresh and delicious. Sea Salt came recommended from some friends. I started with a draft beer that was warm. I sent it back after a few Swigs. The... waitress returns with the same warm beer that was just topped off. Strike 1. Next I had the clam cakes. The stuffing was tasty.Barely any clams in the stuffing with w pieces of clam shell in the stuffing. Ok. It happens. Ordered the baked stuffed haddock.Cook time average 18 - 20 minutes for a baked stuffed haddock. Approximately 10 minutes the dish comes out. I see the too is noteven browned and 10 minutes from order time. I'm thinking no way this is done. I put my fork into the dish and pull up somehaddock...raw. strike 2. So I had it taken away. Paid for the beer and clam cakes. The manager did cone over and apologize andgave me a $15 gift card. The waitress was very good. If I have a bad experience someplace, I usually give it a second try. As the old saying goes ?when in Rome!!!? Every year my wife and I go to Maine to visit friends and every time where up that way... we always get Lobster Rolls. One of our friends suggested this spot and I?m glad that he did because their lobster rolls areamazing!!! My wife had the lobster Mac and cheese and she loved it as well. I highly recommend checking them out! They were delicious! Service was fast and everyone was super friendly! Stopped by here... on 10/20/2022. The hot lobster roll was friggen amazing! It had so much flavor! The homemade kettle chips really hit the spottoo! The crab cakes?I could have skipped them. But I spent a good portion of my life in Maryland. So I?m very particular whenit comes to crab cakes. The homemade blueberry pie was out of this world! It was so amazing!
