End of an era, sadly. I rarely resort to negative reviews online but, given the way this evening went, I feel inclined to share... our experience in the event that it may save others from a similar fate. Been coming here for 10 years and this is our favoritelast-night-of-vacation dinner that?s become an annual tradition. We ordered 2 lobster rolls (one with butter and one with Mayo),onion rings, and two clam cakes. I was told that I would receive a text when the food was ready. We went to the rear patio and,the second I received the text, I headed inside to get our order. Upon bringing it outside, it was immediately evident that thefood had been sitting in the bag for quite some time, as the onion rings and clam cakes were cold and soggy and the Mayo lobsterroll (typically cold) had warmed from the steam in the bag. I took the food back in and explained the issue to the girl workingthe to-go table. She said ?I?m sorry, we got really busy. We can remake it if you can just sit in here and wait?. I left my wifeoutside on our last night of vacation and waited for the order to be remade. Once the new order was ready (approximately 10minutes later), I went back outside to finally eat only to realize they forgot to include one of the two lobster rolls. I tookthe order back inside and requested to speak to a manager. The girl behind the counter went to get the manager who was hangingout at the bar. The manager opened the conversation with ?what?s the problem? I was back there when they made it and it wasperfect?. I informed him that it was not perfect, considering they forgot one of the lobster rolls. I further explained theinitial mishap, noting the fact that the food had become cold and steamed the Mayo lobster roll, and he said ?well, the lobsterroll is supposed to be warm?. Festive patio, and live music! 15 family members met up here on Sat July 23rd and had a blast! We ordered almost one of... everything on the menu, plus many beers and cocktails. Smile. All but fried whole clams tasted yum!! Spoke w manager, 2 dayslater and he agreed w me, they were not cooked properly, and not what should have been served. He then offered refund, but Iopted for gift card. I am happy to spend money at this fine and favorite of my family's yearly visit to Maine/Ocean Park area. Grilled cheese was bland and basic. That goes for all the food. Nice place however, the food is a different story. Fried haddock... was again, extremely bland. Pretty disappointed but the ambiance was nice. Read more

Okay I was here in August 2019 and there were servers so I?m not really getting the management claim that the no wait staff was... a pre-Covid 2019 thing. When? November? In the off season? Huot?s used to be an awesome, typical Maine seafood restaurant. Superbusy with great food. Now? You order outside at a window, pay the ridiculous prices and wait while smelling rotting garbageuntil your number is called over a deafening speaker whose volume is calibrated way too loud for the small sidewalk and parkinglot area. As for the food? It?s fine. It?s pretty good but it doesn?t justify the prices nor the lackluster ambiance of ahasbeen restaurant. The portions are also undersized given the prices. I don?t mind bussing my own tables if I?m not beingcharged prices you?d expect in a fully staffed restaurant. Keep the same recipes all you want doesn?t change the fact that thisplace is glorified albeit expensive takeout. A shame they killed an awesome restaurant. Read more

The service is fast and good. I ordered a lobster roll online it was done a little early and they messaged me to see how I?d... like it. It was on the pricey side but a good side. I didn?t care for the Mayo they used on it and the lobster was good but notthe best I?ve had. All in all a solid place for the usual seafood fare. Read more
