Now one of my favorite places in the area. Huge whiskey selection from all over the world, and great mico beer selection. The... food was great. Excellent staff and service. Very kid friendly for the whole family. An absolute must if you are in the area. Read more

Really disappointing! We ate here last year and loved the interesting and flavorful toppings on the delicious sandwiches and... looked forward to returning this year. Our experience this year was totally different. The sandwiches were dark meat (prettysure it wasn't last year), overcooked, and the toppings were nothing like they were last year. My $10 drink was very small andhad little alcohol. My boyfriend had a soda that we were charged $7.00 or $8.00 for. Our bill for two was $64 with the tip. Wedecided to cook our own food the rest of the trip. I will say that their patio is very pleasant. If I ever went there againmaybe I would have one beer or coffee and a shared dessert. That's just too much money for a mediocre meal. Read more

This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. We have been stationed at Ft Drum for 3 years. When we first got here you could... have gotten me a punch card for how often I would drive out to Sackets just to eat here. First they got rid of brunch during thesummer which was lame, then the food and the service just went downhill. We keep trying to give it just one more chance but Ithink I am finally over it. I don't drink, but my husband does and on our last trip my bottled rootbeer cost more than a shelfliquor drink at a bar would. The food was extremely disappointing and the host was sitting at the bar in sweats drinking andseating people. Don't know if he was off work and helping out or what, but it was a bad look. Honestly, this place has slipped, but charging more for less. I want to love it like I used to, but I just can't. Really would recommend trying other restaurantsbefore you try here. Read more

This was our first visit. We waited until the weather was good enough to eat outside. Our server, Elizabeth, was great. She gave... good recommendations, had a good sense of humor, and checked in on us at a good interval. Everyone liked the food they ordered. The desserts were very good. If there were any negatives, I found the metal chairs to be uncomfortable, but not terrible.Overall, it was a good dinner and we had a great time. Read more

Had a great family night with my wife and 8 year old daughter. Family friendly environment. Feels like home with good energy all... around. Food was delicious along with the drinks. Whisky selection is vast. Will be returning for brunch. I really recommendthis hidden gem. ***For smaller groups reserve on yelp** Lage party reservations are done by phone. Read more

We ordered the Taj chicken (fried chicken with a curry tikka masala sauce & cilantro aoli) and the fried chicken dinner (fried... chicken breasts, mashed potatoes with chicken gravy, and corn muffins). All of it was well seasoned, hot, and perfectly made.Their lemonade is pretty outstanding as well! Read more

I love fried chicken, and any place that features it is a ?must try? for me. The Whiskey Coop is a cute place with... indoor/outdoor seating. The bourbon menu looked great, and the food menu had many choices with sandwiches, salads and myfavorite, a fried chicken dinner, which I ordered. Water and drinks arrived, but with no ice. The fried green tomato appetizerwas very prepared with a great dipping sauce. Then came the fried chicken dinner, that included a choice of 2 sides and a choiceof 2 drumsticks, 2 breasts or a combination of both. I ordered combination of breast and drumstick. When the dinner arrived, italmost looked like a child?s portion, and for 18 bucks it was a big disappointment The breast was smaller than the drumstick. Icould have fit it in the palm of my hand. The sides were tasty good. The chicken was fried excellently, crisp outside and moistinside. But? it was flavorless. I tried to look at the outside of the drumstick but could not visually see any flecks ofseasoning. Bland. The Banana Dream Pie I had for dessert was great! The service was a wee bit slow, but it does state that thekitchen is small, and serving inside and outside always makes a server have to cover more space. I checked the menus from someof my favorite fried chicken joints to see if their fried chicken dinners were comparable price/portion. Most featured at leasta half a chicken, drumstick, full sized breast , wing and thigh, with 2 sides, usually with cornbread or biscuits, for about 18to 22 bucks. I would definitely try The Whisky Coop again, because it has great things going for it. Read more
