Haven't had Jim Dandy's in Rutherford in over 13 years. Today we ordered way too much food and it was all delicious.. the... wings, Bleu cheese, ranch, brisket, pulled pork, rack of ribs, chicken wrap, chili and onion dogs, chicken fingers, onion ringsand fries. Hands down the best BBQ restaurant in north Jersey. My friend recommended this spot and I definitely will be back with my family... of 6. Our waitress Camilla was very nice and the food was off the hook. I?d kiss the cooks if I could with how good my full rackcame out no joke. The meat was falling off the bone before I even took a bite that?s how you know it?s good! All of my kids (4)were full off their kids menu items ranging from chicken fingers to a burger. While my wife enjoyed her buffalo chicken panini.We also split some teriyaki wings that were crispy and super juicy. I've been a loyal cusotmer of Jim Dandy's ever since they opened their doors in Rutherford. Tonight, 6/23/22, I called in an... order for Philadelphia Wrap, with an upgrade of the included fries to Tater Tots and ordered a Bacon Cheddar burger with a sideorder of Tater Tots. I was charged the $2.50 uplift on the Philadelphia wrap...no issue. But there was a $7.00 charge for thetater tots side order for the burger. I asked why as the price of the side order of tater tots is listed as $5.95 on the menu? The person told me that he charged me the price of a platter ($4.50 for regular fries and then the $2.50 uplift for tater tots). I did not order a "platter". The burgers do not come with fries like the wrap. So we volleyed back and forth on the logic. The young lady finally refunded me the difference. What really bothers me is that I've been ordering the burger with tater totsfor quite a long time and have obviously been overpaying for this. Buyer beware. Always count your change. Trust but verify. Shame on the management for allowing this practice to occur. No questions about the food, which is excellent. But thisparticular practice must cease. Read more

This place is the spot to go! I consider myself a faithful customer. I went before the unfortunate fire occurred last year. My... husband, son and I had a wonderful dinner several days ago. We had the smoked brisket, General Tso Chicken wings (OMG DO DIEFOR!!????) and fries. Then came back on a Thursday for their Tso Chicken special which comes with rice (The portion is beyond????. I had enough leftovers for the next day to have for lunch), also ordered brisket burger that came with fries.
