I stopped here for Breakfast on my way from NC. The server Pat her tone was very unfriendly. I walked in, sat at a table, she... didn't greet me at all but abruptly said you can't sit here, I have to sanitize the table and you have a 25 minute wait. Ididn't respond at all because I had time to wait and wanted some WH food. The food was okay. Being short staffed and overworkedplays a big part in someone's well-being. This Waffle House staff was very welcoming. I had great conversation with the staff. The food was quick to come out. I dined in... and had The Ultimate, (waffle, eggs ????, toast, hash browns, bacon ????). The food tasted good. Kind staff, tasty food, great location. A bit understaffed right now, but where isn't.
Dining guests were few if any. Staff were courteous. Food was good, we?re fans of WH so we know what quality we?re getting?like... homemade on a Sunday morning. After driving 5 hours from NY, we were tired and hungry so we got off 95 to go to the hotel and the waffle house was right next... door. Went inside, EVERY table but 2 was filthy. The waitress said we could sit a clean table. We had to wait about 7 min beforeshe came to take our order. I got a sprite.That taste like seltzer so I sent it back. Got the lemonade. She was holding theglass up looking all around it. She brings it to me. Low and behold there was something black floating in it. I told her, shesays, oh, that's what I was looking for ????????. I said that's ok. No drink. The food finally comes after the cook was slammingthings around, he left the water running and it spilled on the floor. The waitress brings the food over and says, " I wouldn'teat those grits ???? so that's just what we did. Left them right there. They were hard and cold. Okay...I enjoy Waffle House, especially their hash browns but this particular one gets a five star solely for the young girls... waitressing on the day we were there. They were short staffed and this young woman was dang near run off her feet but she wassmiling and being polite and even managed some laughs. Some customers were less than polite but she didn't let it faze her. Thiswaitress deserves a five star! Read more
Came in with a group of 4 for dinner. Was never acknowledged once, came in, sat down, and waited for a good 20 minutes. Got... tired of the lack of service, so we got up and left. Not one word or glance as our party departed. We had more people that wouldbe joining us, but if we weren?t served, there?s not a chance a larger group would be served.
