There's something about a small town dinner that just hits the spot. It has that old school dinner vibe with the specials... written on a chalkboard. Everyone was attentive and extremely friendly. My husband and I shared the Country Fried Steak and let me tell ya, it was the BEST I have ever eaten! We thoroughly were beyond... impressed and the small hole in the wall restaurant exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend the Fried Green Tomatoes orPickles, and the Country Fried Steak! When you are anywhere near this Arkansas town you HAVE to make the trip to show some love to Maddy and the crew at Old... South!!!! We came through on our way back to OKC and could not be more happy we found this beautiful throw back!!! There?s smalltown feel, history?.it?s Arkansas famous and rightfully so!!! The Chocolate Gravy is EVERY DAY Y?ALL!! It?s as good as yourgrandma made it and Maddy and her sweet demeanor and exceptional service made our visit amazing and impeccable. My family had an amazing lunch, it was served hot and fresh. The dinning area was very well kept a, the waitress was very... friendly and tentative to all the tables. And the prices are very good for the amount of food you get. Easy location to find. Idefinitely recommend ya come and try. Read more

Walking in I was transported back to an old diner. Staff was friendly and busy! We started with a side salad. It was generously... sized. I got the hamburger steak and hubs got the fried pork chop. We both chose black eyed peas (the veg of the day). Both ourmeals were delicious. The pork chop was definitely hand breaded. Delicious sweet tea. Great service.
