? How do I begin? My daughter Victoria has demanded me that I give this restaurant a good review, so I am going to follow her... lead, but I?m going to add something at the end. . The services is really good, all the staff is very attentive, I appreciatethat. . My daughter enjoyed all of her food, I really saw her gobbling up every bite. . But when my toast with avocado arrived?I was a little disappointed, first the bun was a hamburger bun, the kind you buy very cheaply at Lidl, second it was cold, thirdit wasn't ?toasted? and fourth, it was too buttery. I can?t lie, the mashed avocado, tomatoes and pepper were perfect, but whenyou order toast you expect that crunchy sound between your teeth and that didn't happen here. . Do you wonder if I will comeback? I think so, it's worth giving it a second chance. When I get back I'll let you know. . This place is expensive. . Note:For those who know me, I am a Local Guide and I am looking for places to work, while enjoying a delicious breakfast or meal, Itis impossible to work here, the place is too dark for that and the decoration doesn?t allow it. This place was recommended by a friend. It lived up to the hype at least on this first visit. I had corned beef smash (see pic).... The coffee was good (not exceptional but you could tell that whoever brewed it had seen an actual coffeemaker before)too. Service was speedy and friendly. Read more
Update: added an outside table :) Wonderfully tasty flavorful food options! great variety of meals and tastes. Food seems to... be great quality. For that though, the $$$ is about $2 more for each item and you'll have to wait a bit. Place is usuallypretty busy, so don't come if you want to be in and out - make it a leisurely meal! Read more
Great breakfast! Huge variety and even larger portions. Food was very fresh and different/unique compared to the usual local... choices. Dine in options and take out options as well. Waitstaff was generally good and friendly. Read more
UPDATE: We headed back to JC's on Saturday for a late lunch...and we were not disappointed!! I had the Cold Noodle Salad with... Chicken which had just the right amount of siracha heat and peanutty goodness. I would totally order it again - so good. Hehad the Chicken and Waffles. The buttermilk fried chicken over a pecan cornmeal waffle *WHAT* with honey mustard drizzle andsyrup was a combo that was unexpectedly delicious. I am used to seeing this dish with shredded chicken in a chicken gravy overwaffles, so when we saw this twist on an oldie, we were excited to try it. We must have said "So good" like twenty times beforethe last bite of waffle disappeared. Pictures of both dishes posted in my profile. :) First Visit Holy Portions, Batman!! This place is a-ma-zing! We tried it out for the first time this weekend and I am sorry that we haven't eaten here sooner. Fromthe Eggs Penny to the Shrimp and Crab Puppies to the Cinnamon Roll French Toast, everything was delicious. They clearly postthat things are not hurried so just enjoy the wait - we were seated at the bar and had full view of the grill/kitchen area. Watching the GIANT plates being loaded up with fresh ingredients (many gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options!) made timefly and gave us lots of ideas for our next visit. My son took me for my birthday breakfast this week to Three Square Meals. This was our first time there. It was about 9:30 AM... and the restaurant was half full and within minutes it got full. I had ordered the fried chicken with biscuits, however theywere out of biscuits and substituted with pancakes. It took time to make my order but it was worth it! The chicken was nicelybrown cooked and crispy. And the home fries were perfect too. The plate setting was very attractive and classy. Like you findat a 5 star hotel. My son ordered the three eggs Penny?s not Benedicts, it looked exceptional, however the eggs were overcooked as in hard boiled. My son immediately mentioned it to the very attentive wait staff and they sent out a replacementorder, they were perfect!! Not only that they did something extra special for the inconvenience, which we thank youfor! All-in-all, we had a great up-scale breakfast. We are so glad we tried your establishment. This is the kind of place youget what you pay for but MORE! If I my make only one small suggestion...Due to your upscale place setting, etc, you may want toconsider using a more thicker/better quality table napkins. I feel with the quality of food and table wear/flat wear that youare serving that this would complement all of it together nicely. But other than that, keep doing what you are doing. Pretty good food, service a little lacking. Granted, they were short handed and busy, however with numerous things wrong with... our order (and the family next to ours as well) I couldn't give it a super steller review. The black and Bleu had a good set offlavors, however the blend was a little off, a little heavy on the bitter Bleu cheese. However, the fresh red tomatos on it werevery juicy and sweet. The custom salad with homemade Mozzarella, chicken, cheese, and chick peas was good. The mozzarella wasfantastic, and the highlight of the meal. The chicken was well cooked and seasoned. Where to begin...What happened to this place? We walked in to darkness and a one page breakfast menu. None of the usual,... wonderful breakfasts foods they used to have. I'm assuming father, mother and daughter were working today. The daughter waswaiting on a table and every other sentence that came put of her mouth, the mother would say "Kaitlin, we don't have that." So,the one page menu turned into half a page.
