Great coffee, breakfast and lunch spot below the Griffin apartment complex. I had a hot coffee with almond milk and it was... perfect on a chilly fall day. I?m a big bagel and lox guy and theirs has a great twist with avocado. The atmosphere is very warminside and there?s ample seating for hanging out, working and eating. The baristas working there were also super friendly Read more

Hands down my favorite coffee shop ever, their coffee puts Starbucks in the dirt. The food is always amazing, garlic bread... grilled cheese was tried today and it was delicious. Slightly pricey, but a favorite nonetheless. The service is always topnotch as well, whether you?re visiting the area, or live in town, I highly recommend trying this place Read more

Stopped in after my early morning gas run to Costco. They opened on time and the customer service was phenomenal. I ordered a... spiced chai with oat milk and avocado toast. The chai was very tasty- better than my fav spot. The avocado toast was more likebread, however it was seasoned very well and the tomatoes, arugula and extra avocado slices made it filling. I am lookingforward to trying more items on their menu. This place is now apart of my Friday morning ritual. Read more

Really cool decor and cute little walk up window for takeout orders. The cold brew and regular coffees were really good (and... we?re pretty particular about our coffee). The menu is huge, in a good way. They have great sandwiches, salads, breakfast andlunch items. I didn?t think this coffee shop would be a place for an actual meal, but I?d certainly come back for a quick lunch! The staff was really friendly as well. Read more

I wish I could give this place more stars! We were having a terrible morning before coming here, desperate for coffee and some... food after a pretty bad experience in our hotel. The staff at Royal Oak and the atmosphere completely changed our mood as soonas we walked in. The food is fresh and tasty, the coffee is perfect, and the staff was so genuine and friendly- you can tellthey really love where they work and each other. They also have great taste in music! Thank you Royal Oak for making ourhorrible day turn for the better! We really needed you guys today :) Read more

This is a very modern and industrial coffee shop design, they opened recently and used that to excuse possibly slow service, but... the service didn't seem slow to me. The Goods: 1.) The coffee was very tasty with a good combination of sweet but notoverpowering flavor, this is anecdotal to my drink but the other 4 in my group had positive thoughts about their coffees aswell. 2.) As I entered the store I was greeted with a cheery hello from all 3 (it may have been four people) behind thecounter, which was pleasant. 3.) The design was clean, clearly thought out with intention, and was very cohesive. 4.) Someone, either a manager or the owner (they didn't identify themselves) came over to ask about how things were while we sat to drink ourcoffees, and supposing they were genuinely seeking input -aka constructive criticism- this is a great prospect for abusiness. 5.) The large coffee size was actually quite a good bit of coffee, and wasn't just all ice, a pleasant contrast tomany coffee places that aren't chains. The Neutral: 1.)The price was very average for what most non-chain coffee shops arecharging now-a-days, and although it didn't seem unreasonable, I still hesitate to pay 6+ dollars for a cup of coffee 2.) Therewere outlets around but for some reason or another, it almost felt too up-class to stay and study in there, like studying in afancy dining room. Not necessarily never, but less of the vibe I'd personally be looking for. The Bads: There was only onemajor complaint, and it's probably not something that can be fixed in hindsight, but the exterior of the building is a tan orwhitish color due to the stonework of the building, and as the door is solid (and quite impressive) as I entered the darkness ofthe room was actually a bit aggressive, that combined with the pleasant greeting of four people, was a tad overwhelming, andeven worse, going from the dark inside to the very bright outside is actually quite hard on the eyes. A caviat--I do ten Read more
