Let me first say I had high hopes, I love supporting local businesses and I love coffee and breakfast. But save your money and... go somewhere else.\nFood was not good, and looked questionably even safe to eat. I smelt feet and the food had a couple offflavors..\nI was left questioning if any of the staff had any real food safety training. As a customer, I noticed a bag ofpotatoes on the floor (food safety policies state food should be at least 6 inches off the floor according to the FDA), none ofthe staff had hair nets or hats (also required for handling food, pulled back is only okay for coffee shops, but not sufficientfor a cafe/restaurant), and the thing that tipped me over was the chunky creamer and the waitress just said to “shake it up”(shaking creamer doesn’t magically make it good again after sitting out in the heat day after day). Who know what else wouldbe found if a real inspection was completed. Read more

Food was mediocre. There is no inside seating. So as you sit outside cars roll into gravel parking lot and dust you out while... you eat. Found a hair in my box of food.\nThen the tables out front are feet from a busy noisy highway.\nWould not recommendcoming here.\nTheir bakery items may be good but we only tried breakfast.\nVery friendly staff. There is something so completely, authentically charming about Gilham. The whole experience is unique, wholesome and joyful. The... ladies are amazing. The food is scrumptious and we love every minute we get to spend in their bakery.\n\nWe love the breakfastsandwiches and getting to pick the biscuit we\'d like to have it made with. The inventory is constantly changing. Every time wevisit is like a treasure hunt. A treasure hunt where everything you cone across is treasure!\n\nLots of great gluten free andalternative options, right alongside more traditional fare. Read more

Got the eggs Benedict.\n\nAs a former chef/cook I can be picky about my food. As some of my reviews show.\n\nThis place is good... though. I definitely recommend it. Food was well prepared and seemed to be made from scratch instead of cheap saltypackets.\n\nWife and I will be back. Read more

Gilham Mercantile & Bakery is a terrific local bakery/restaurant in McKenna WA. Easy access from Hwy 507 with plenty of parking.... The staff is very friendly and the food is excellent.\n\nFor a weekend breakfast we sampled their cinnamon rolls, keto blueberrymuffins, scrambled eggs and a veggie scramble with breakfast potatoes. We could not resist adding a couple of their beautifulcupcakes to have for dessert later.\n\nEverything tasted great, prices were reasonable and selection includes lots of options.Looking forward to trying them for a weekday lunch, highly recommend!
