Reviews for Krishna Express in Roy, UT
The Tikka Masala is super good. The naan is soooo good. There are 10.99, 11.99, and 12.99 combos you can get for the Tikka... Masala that come with salad, naan, and dessert. I highly recommend this place! Read more
Best Indian food I?ve had in Utah, better than Bombay House or Red fort. Very nice staff. With only being open 2 months, i feel... like these guys are getting into the swing of things, but of course you?re going to have an abundance of rude and unculturedwhite people here in Utah that will complain about every little thing. Everything was hot, fresh, and the complexity of flavorwas unique to this restaurant. Even the naan is rolled out and prepared while you wait. I appreciate the owners friendliness, and am eager to see how they progress. We will be back very soon Read more
This was my first visit and I was with my family. We ordered three entrees and one appetizer. We were a bit confused at first... because some of the menu screens were not working and the old Panda Express steam table was empty. It turns out that we simplyhad to ask about the menu and all the food is cooked fresh, even the naan bread, so the empty steam table was not anissue.\n\nWe tried chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo and chicken korma. All three were very good. One of the dishes hadcardamom seeds in it which are inedible. Watch for those. The rice was delicious and plentiful.\n\nAs an appetizer we had anorder of vegetable samosa. It was way good. We should have ordered two orders as only two pieces come in one order. All the foodwas served on paper with plastic utensils.\n\nPrices are on par with other Indian restaurants. Entrees on the menu were listedat $15.99. The entrees showed up at $13.99 on our receipt.\n\nThis is easily as good as any other Indian restaurant in the area.We ordered everything mild. Some of the entrees were spicier than others but all were edible for my family. We cannot eat spicyfood. I highly recommend this restaurant. Give it a try. I doubt you will be disappointed. Read more
We visited this place on a Thursday evening around 6pm. There was not a single customer in the store at all!! The price and the... experience definitely wasn?t worth it? the food didn?t live up to the comments I?ve read below either. The food was justmediocre.\nAnyways?\nWe arrived and the gentleman working told us he would be right back and walked outside following anothergentleman- seemed as if maybe he was a business partner or something because they were discussing business details and he didn?treturn for about 5 minutes. We weren?t sure what to get so we asked and we?re given a couple of samples on plastic spoons. Thesamples were from the buffet and definitely weren?t warm. I was still excited to try the new uncommon restaurant in town!! Whowouldn?t be; right?\nWe ordered 3 entree cups each- of (chicken tikka masala and two other chicken entrees) and we?re told thateach entree comes with white rice. (We did NOT order buffet for $11.99 per pound.) We also ordered 2 garlic naan, one butternaan, two 16 oz fountain sodas and one of the special mango drinks in the cooler across from the register.\nThe gentlemanscooped all of our food from the buffet trays that I just sampled from but were all uncovered and cold!!!\nThe gentleman broughtthe food to the table about ten minutes later. There was only three 2.5 cup size masala entrees and one small styrofoamcontainer also with about 2.5 cups of rice in it. (My husband already dipped his spoon in his food so I didn?t include his soupcup) He told us he would be right back with plates. He returned with 3 paper plates and all of the naans; told us to enjoy andwalked away. Really??? My husband stopped him the next time he walked over to the business partner and politely asked for morerice.. (if each entree that we ordered and paid for comes with rice, why did he only give us ONE box of rice?) The amount offood in this photo + one more soup cup was $76.00!!!\nI have eaten Indian food prior to this visit and was Read more
It\'s good, not the best but a good addition to the local area and also some of the best saag outside of Salt Lake that I\'ve... tried. Pricing is a bit high but it\'s on par with other Indian restaurants.\n\nThe lamb in the lamb saag was tender, the saagitself was good, just a bit too runny for my taste, but good enough. The naan is not made in a traditional oven but it\'s stillgood enough, just doesn\'t have the flakiness I really like. The hot isn\'t that hot, but for the average utahn, it will be. Ifyou\'re a spice hunter, then ask for extra spicy.\n\nThe \"buffet\" isnt a buffet but a per pound charge... A little misleadingbut if you can read, it\'s explained on the menu.\n\nEverything will be in a To go style... So don\'t expect glass plates, hencethe name \"express\". It seems if the menu item isn\'t part of the buffet, it will be cooked fresh. Read more
A little pricey for the amount of food. We tried the Chicken tikka masala, paneer tikka masala, and chicken curry. All were... ordered medium, but they were mild in my opinion. The tikka masala was tasty and not too sweet or acidic..very flavorful but themeat/sauce ratio didn\'t reflect what we paid. I was super impressed that the chicken curry had onions and authentic spices, which other Indian restaurants in Utah don\'t always have. The basmati rice was cooked perfectly, and seemed to have been cookedin ghee which is ideal! Read more
