It was a very busy day, but the staff was fantastic.
Made the drive to Rouyn Noranda this weekend from Windsor Ontario to take in some QMJHL Huskies action. This place was awesome.... So good. I enjoyed every bite. The staff where amazing and took very good care of us. Food was nice, tasty and hot. Environmentwas awesome! Manager was wonderful. I can't wait to come back one day! We ate on Friday November 5th. This restaurant was a delightful surprise for me and my wife. It was our first visit to Rouyn-Noranda (and let's face it, the... city is not exactly a vacation destination) so we didn't know what to expect. It's located on a pedestrian thoroughfare. Therestaurant had surprisingly decent offerings for basically a pub-style venue: Imaginative and tasty pizzas, tuna and beeftartare and delicious burgers to name a few stand out items. My fiancé and I went to eat at the restaurant called Pizzé tonight. This restaurant has a partnership with the restaurant we... are staying in. We walked into the restaurant and were almost turned away until we mentioned that we were staying at the hoteland magically they had a table available. Following this, we had waited 20min and never got acknowledged, so I got up and askedfor waters to start as well as asked for our server. Not too long after we received our water and the server came along. Then Ihad ordered a glass of red wine, when it was served to me the wine was almost as cold as a glass of white wine, but the serverapologized and gladly opened a new bottle for me. After that, I had ordered bruschetta for an appetizer. The mix had too manyspices and was watered down, to add it was on a Baggett bread with melted cheese which was drenched and mushy. I had mentionedthis to our server who passed on the message to the kitchen. Then our mains came and disaster struck. I had a chicken burgerwith a side caesar salad. The cheese was not completely melted on the burger and the chicken was one of a frozen patty with wasdisappointing. The salad was not better the dressing tasted like mayo with too much citrus, capers, and no garlic. Now for thereal problem, the menu never mentioned anything about anchovies in the Cesar salad and normally all allergenic ingredients arementioned on the menu. My fiancé has an allergy to iodine and had a caesar salad. When I tasted the anchovies in the dressingit was too late she was having a minor allergic reaction which forced me to rush to the pharmacy. In the end, though I have tosay our server stepped up even with all my critics. He was patient, calm, and did a great job taking care of my fiancé.
