Love this place! Came in on 4th of July, sat at the bar right away. Met the coolest bartender named Clive, ordered drinks,... ordered food and were served our meal in less than 5 minutes. It came out so fast and obviously from the pics delicious that wewere taken aback! The dining area is huge and so is the outside dining as well. You can see them putting the food together andeveryone pitching in to make it happen and memorable. They give you a spicy and regular BBQ sauce to dip your meat in...which isso tender and juicy you forget to use it! The potato salad, beans and coleslaw are better than any I have tasted...and living inTexas that says a lot! Clive keeps the mood moving, getting to know you and before you know it, its like one big family talkingabout "ships" and ending the visit with "See you later Mates!" We can't wait to go back! Had a great experience with friends. Everything is good . But their brisket needs some more work . The waffle fries were very... crispy and flavorful. I’m giving 5 stars because of their cordial , fast and friendly service. Shannon was the one whoattended to us. Loved his vibrant energy. Read more
The food was amazing beans were ok. But highly suggest going. I ordered the Thurman Special. I suggest getting the wet brisket... as the lean brisket was a little dry for my liking. THEIR BBQ SAUCE IS HEAVEN. I regret not buying enough of their sauce to bathin but I will be ordering some online if they have an online store. Ended up spending ~$80 for a family of 4 which is a goodprice for BBQ. Big portions pork ribs were fall off the bone left feeling full plus has leftovers. We wanted to have an authentic, original yet delicious Texan BBQ meal, well we were took by this amazing place by our relatives... and we couldn't be happier! You can tell how authentic it is by the smokey smell just by crossing the main door you're welcomedby hanging meats and a huge smoker. Upon entering the aroma is heavenly! Clean on the inside and outside. The service is good, a feeling of southern hospitality.... The portion sizes of food will fill you up. However, the food has an acquired taste. I had a certain taste in mind when I comesto brisket and sausage. Read more
Huge Texas sized pulled pork sandwich! I really liked the saucy coleslaw on top despite the fact I don't normally like coleslaw!... The sauce is tasty. We REALLY liked the sweet potato fries dipped in the sauce! It was just enough sweetness when the sweetpotato is already sweet. I couldn't finish the sandwich and half the fries by myself, but my husband could. The big red soda Ithought might be a Texas soda is over 100% of your daily value of sugar, and keep in mind that's based on a 2000 calorie day! Isuggest skip the soda. The place is nice a bit cooled but as you walk in you get hit with the amazing BBQ smell delicious. We came from out of town and... stopped here because of the reviews. Plenty of seating, no wait and fast and friendly service. Had the all you can eat plate.Brisket, sausage and pork ribs. Plenty of food on the first plate. Are waitress recommended to get another plate and if wedidn’t finish we could take it to go, great advice family had leftovers for dinner. Mother in law had a brisket sandwich itlooked delicious. Nice friendly service, a lot of space. The beef rib and briskets are good, soft. However, the pork ribs are little dried and... hard for our taste. Definitely, give it a try if you come to Khalahari, conveniently located across the street. Read more
