We?re still eating but I felt the need to take a moment and talk about this place. First off, the location is lovely. Clean,... nice decor, wonderful atmosphere; I?ve got nothing negative to say. The people are amazing! Polite and helpful, they know theirstuff, too, so if you?re not sure what to try, ask! And the food! Wow. You might -not- know what to try because the menu isextensive! There wasn?t a one of us that didn?t shake our head in amazement when we first touched the food. All in all, thekind of place that will not just make you want to come back but also to bring friends and family! Read more

So good and the food comes out quick! Nice staff and waiters. The pho tastes like homemade broth. Just right not too salty or... bland. General Tso chicken I believe was delicious with sichuan peppers. Appetizers were great. So good we ordered to go some lomein and more cheese rangoons. The tofu was alright in the lo mein. Everything else was good to the Thai tea. Very strong. Read more

The good: Service was great. The egg rolls, hot sour soup, and orange beef were tasty. And now the bad: worst fried rice I've... ever had. The rice was overcooked and dry. Almost indiscernible scrambled eggs. Skip the 50 cents upgrade. Read more

Ordered all the dishes off the chef?s menu that was posted on the chalkboards inside the restaurant. The fried calamari was... pretty good when you dip it with the salt and peppery sauce that it came with. The batter was not thick and it was a littlecrispy. The flat noodles or the pho ap chao was flavorful and it was my first time having this dish. The noodles were not toothick or overly greasy. The chicken from the chicken and rice dish was crispy on the outside and the meat was soft on theinside. I was expecting the exterior to be super hard since it was fried but it was just crispy. The rice tasted great withthe sauce that it came with. The water spinach and the shaken beef were my favorites. The water spinach was cooked to theright consistency, it could have used a little more salt but I liked that I was simple. The shaken beef was nice and tender andthe sauce is extra delicious!! The sauce is great with white rice or the lettuce that the dish came with. Some of the dishes weordered had a lot of minced garlic so be aware of that. Service was good and the food came out pretty much at the same time. Iwould come back again. Read more

Best Vietnamese food from Austin to San Antonio. Clean & fresh food will be presented well. Yes Red Lotus makes no exceptions.... This is real bone broth, so get here early because you may miss it. I would like to taste some, "Star Anise.". I'm unsure ofthe Vietnamese translation for that seasoning. Wonderful, fast service, but be assertive & know what you want. Read more

I was recently visiting from Florida and was recommended to try Red Lotus by a friend. I went to both restaurants and got... amazing treatment at this location as well as the OG location, also located in Austin. I chose to eat the Pho Ga and it?s handsdown the best pho I?ve had in a very long time. I?m still thinking about the tasty broth even after my trip. If you?re fromAustin and haven?t already fallen in love with this place then you?re missing out. Not only was the food amazing but theatmosphere was spot on and the staff were super welcoming , Jimmy was my server and he was awesome ! Thank you Red Lotus formaking my Austin trip memorable. I visited Red lotus and was blown away. We ordered a calamari + fresh egg rolls + sesame chicken. The highlight was the calamari... app. It was very crispy with light breading and lots of thick squid pieces drizzled with a lemon pepper sauce sitting atop abead of fresh greens, bell peppers and jalapenos. Egg rolls were crispy and perfect eating temp (most places they are so hotupon coming to table). Sesame chicken was crispy medium breading and large serving. Only thing i would change would be maybe alarger rice portion with the entrees. Overall 10/10. Very pleased. Read more
