My wife and I shared a rack of the amazing baby back ribs and had several sides to go with them. The ribs were very tender,... virtually falling off the bones, and the sauce they have is just right with a hint of tang. The sides were all excellent. Ihighly, highly recommend the corn on the cob and the onion rings. Save room for dessert! They have most excellent pies,including pecan and apple. The cornbread muffins are fantastic. southern style. The place is run by the two owners. They arevery pleasant and accommodating. I understand these folks are from Texas, and they know their barbecue! The portions are BIG.They really spoil you here. Some of the best BBQ I have ever had. Truly! I rank this place alongside Pecan Lodge in Dallas and Franklins in Austin. I had... the 2-meat plate with brisket, pulled pork, corn muffins, and mac and cheese. The meat was tender and fell apart in the bestway. I will be thinking about that mac and cheese for years! Honestly, the whole meal too? it was perfection! The service wasgreat as well and the decoration was so cute (in the best way). They even have bagged left overs for dogs which makes me sohappy (and my pup too!). I may have to start finding more reasons to travel this way more often so that I can enjoy La Sierrasooner rather than later! Read more
These folks are awesome! Stopped here on a trip back to Albuquerque and I wish I could've gone again! The owners are so kind and... we chatted for a long while. The food is delicious, the brisket sandwich was so tender, flavorful, and well cooked, fromauthentic Texans with an amazing recipe! The sauce is also unique and pairs so well with the tender meat! Stopped in to get some BBQ since we had not seen much since leaving Texas. This is a very cute little place. Tidy and clean. ... We ordered brisket and ribs to get. Good portions, meaty. Ribs had a lot of meat on them and tender. A teeny bit dry by thetime we got home to eat them but the bbq sauce was very good and the cherry cobbler was a good finish. Tasted like true TexasBBQ. This place is awesome. It looks like an old sonic drive in repurposed into a BBQ joint. There's indoor seating!! You can smell... the smoky goodness as you pull in. Got some loaded baked potatoes and ribs. The potatoes were HUGE!! Brisket was tender andmoist but without fatty lumps hanging on, it was the perfect texture! and the sauce was not overwhelming the smoky flavor of themeat. My boyfriend and his dad destroyed the ribs, they were a decent size and just as tender and flavorful. You need to leavewith a slice of pie. We tried apple, peach, and blackberry, all amazing.
