We arrived at the door around 9:20pm Friday night. Horrible horrible attitude of the lady standing outside the door. We were... only planning to have a drink maybe snacks. She was determined not to let us in, despite room inside the restaurant. She said wecould not have one person stand at the high top which seats two, it would block cellar door, even though table up against window???? she suggested we should not wait, she even made us re-park our car from their half empty parking lot when we gave up andsaid we will go across the street to Madrid. She made it absolutely clear she did not want our business. Huge shout out toMadrid, we had a fun time, the kitchen was going to shut down in 10mins and accommodated our order quickly, the guitar waslovely, we even danced a bit and it turned out to be a fun evening. Sadly, we experienced some of the worst service here last night. We arrived at 9:25 (on a Friday night) and asked if they were... still serving. They said they were not taking entree orders but still serving drinks and appetizers. We only wanted to closeour evening out with a glass of wine, so we opted to stay. When we asked about sitting on the patio, the hostess recommendedwe sit inside since it looked like possible rain. There were 2 other tables occupied and one gentleman at the bar at thattime, so it was not busy. The waiter who came to our table was extremely rude, but we ordered anyway, thinking "he'lllighten up since we're just having a beverage". Within 5 minutes of receiving our drinks, the hostess came to our table andsaid they were going to begin closing because a rain storm was coming. We thought, "that's fine, well just finish ourbeverage while they're closing down, then we'll be done about the time they are". The waiter came back scowling again within10 min, stating they needed to get out of there because some of them lived 30 min away, yet, he and the hostess were not doingthings to close up, but instead standing at the end of the bar staring at us, obviously taking about us and making us all feelvery unwelcome. There was still one more table and the gentleman at the bar, finishing their beverages, so we continued tofinish our drinks in a reasonable manner (ie, not gulping). Waiter then came and asked if we would be ordering anything else, we said no, so he brought us our tabs, again, very rudely and stating they all needed to leave because of the storm. They thenstarted sweeping floors around us in a very aggressive manner and continued with the scornful looks. We paid our bill and left, without even so much as a thank you from anyone working there (and this is a one small dining room restaurant, so you can seeand hear everything).
