Brunch was excellent! Four of us started with beverages, the yummy Fried Green Tomatoes, Alyssa's Buffalo Chicken Dip and the... House Chip w/Cheddar - all very good and portioned to share. For our mains, we had the P&P's Southern Jam (Fried chicken breast, bacon, goat cheese, Maxwell Farms Blueberry Jam on a biscuit served with fried hashbrown cake - Good Lort!), the LocalShrimp-N-Grits (smoked gouda, local grits, roasted jalapeños, grain mustard sauce, cherry tomatoes, roasted corn, wildmushrooms, bacon & shallots - so creamy and full of flavor!), the 8-Pop's B's & G's (2 biscuits with good ole sawmill sausagegravy w/fried chicken tenders - OMG!) and the Chicken Hoagie (w/ caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, jalapeños & provolone- huge, tender and delish). I love a good biscuit and they are to die for - big, light and fluffy! They have a huge menu thatcovers all the bases for b'fast, lunch, brunch or dinner and keep in mind that they have BOOZY MILKSHAKES! We didn't have roomto get one this time so we'll be back, sooner than later! Read more

Had dinner here with my family for the first time this evening after seeing very good reviews. The restaurant is located in a... really easy location with ample parking. We sat outside on the their very nice patio where a band was setting up to play. Ourfood was very good and the service was good as well. I had the best pork chop I've ever had, by far. The band, which waselectric base, electric guitar and drums was very good and we commented that they played at an amplified volume that allowed usto easily talk with one another. Moments after commenting about the volume, the owner came out while the band was in the middleof a song, stood right in front of them and very angrily told them to turn it down repeatedly. They attempted to do thismid-song and the owner walked back toward the door and then stopped and again with a hostile manner told them to turn it waydown. The owner may have had good reason to ask them to lower the volume, but doing so in the middle of a song, in front of hispatrons and in such a rude and hostile way was unacceptable. This clearly was uncomfortable for the patrons on the patio whowere enjoying the music and the great atmosphere and food. The band made the best of this and were very professional. Itactually created an immediate connection between the band and the folks on the patio. It's unfortunate the owner did not havethe sense to understand that his manner might negatively impact what was an otherwise perfect evening. Read more

Fried green tomatoes are outstanding. The pork belly appetizer was merely ok. My brisket and risotto were good, but felt the... brisket needed more flavor. My mother's trout was outstanding. My father's pork chop was tasty as well. Portion sizes areextremely generous. Service was average for the price range of the restaurant. Read more
