Looking on google for breakfast near me I stumbled across this place with egg in the name. It registered straight away, I was... really in the mood for eggs, whole wheat toast, maybe grilled tomatoes (or as Americans like to call them, tomaidoews) Sadlyfor me the menu was a huge let down, almost every single dish, even fish dishes, had some form of pig flesh ????, either, bacon, ham, choriso or other. Only item number one, beef short ribs actually sounded edible, of course I ordered it. The server wasvery helpful, the shortrib was good and the nice runny egg, just as I like it. I can live without grits, that does nothing forme. Sadly with only 1% of a menu appealing it's unlikely for me to return, however if a more edible variety of dishes sans anypork/ham/bacon contamination should apear on offer, I might take advantage. I love the food and the concept. But the service needs some help. Many restaurants are suffering from staff-shortages and I get... that. But it doesn?t take any effort to acknowledge your customers and at least tell them that they haven?t been forgotten.Especially when it takes close to 30 minutes for your breakfast to show up. Hey, at least it was cold! Seriously, if you?regoing to charge these prices, then do better. Read more

First time coming to this restaurant and definitely will be coming again!! Upon entering the restaurant the host acknowledged... and greeted us as soon as we walked in. We were seated and our waiter came out introduced himself, gave us the menus and tookour drink order. Because it was our first visit our waiter brought out a complementary serving of beignets!!! The beignets weregood but definitely don?t beat fresh beignets in New Orleans. Their coffee was fresh and was delicious. We decided to order theChicken Piccata egg Benedict with a side of country potatoes? it was Amazing!!! The chicken was savory and the poached egg wason point right! ???????????????? As you cut into the egg the yolk just poured out. Do potatoes were nice crispy and the outsidesoften inside. I definitely will be returning to this restaurant loved it!!! Read more

Incredible service from a friendly server named Chelsea! I had the smoked salmon scrambler - Eggs with smoked salmon, red onion,... spinach, and fried capers. Served with a bagel with cream cheese and everything bagel seasoning and a choice of fresh fruit orcountry potatoes! Their tea was brewed strong and they had plenty of sweetener choices at the table will definitely return tothis excellent restaurant when I'm visiting this city again! Read more

I?ve been here for breakfast a couple of times and I will definitely be back for more! What can I say about this place?! I would... say it?s one of the best breakfast and brunch in town. Outstanding work from the staff from the moment you walk in and till youwalk out. They always take good care of me and my wife here and make sure everything is how we expect to be. The food is justamazing and very well presented. I had the shrimp and grits and my wife had the chicken and waffles. We both were very pleasedand satisfied. Super tasty hot chocolate to warm you up during this cold holiday season. Don?t miss out on their bad4$$ deals oncocktails ???? Keep up the good work guys and thank you for the service ! I?ll be back for sure Read more

I had such an exceptional dining experience at Broken Egg Cafe that I could not wait to leave the restaurant before writing my... review. I was honored to have Annie as my server and its not only because she will be studying Astrophysics in school (girlpower) but also because her service was thoughtful, professional, and informative. I enjoyed the seasonal 'lemon custard stuffedfrench toast - w/strawberries, almonds, and caramel, City grits w/Gouda, bacon, onion etc., and eggs scrambled with blendedcheese. The french toast was soo good, I didn't need syrup! That combination of citrus and light sweetness is a slam dunk! Thegrits were creamy and have 'no grit'!Talk about getting it right! Kudos to the Chef! I appreciated the fact that Matt stopped byto make sure my experience was great. The GM Jason was also kind and quite passionate about providing the best experience forthe customers and the team he hires. They keep coming back to work there because of the leadership - you and I know that. Youcan tell that the love for this place was evident and the culture reflected that care. It honestly felt as though I was a guestin someone's home, more than a customer in a restaurant. This is exactly why I will be back and I cannot get the french toastout of my head!!! I drank the French roast cold brew with vanilla and every flavor of my meal worked extremely well together. The french toast will be ending on Sunday so I hope you read this review before Sun. Aug.8th 2021 or catch the next season!Don't let the simple presentation fool you, this meal packs a mean punch and I am fighting back a good nap! Life is not promisedto always be great but if we could just choose kindness, the world will eventually catch on! Thanks to the Broken Egg Cafe forredeeming my morning with a great experience in dining and service. Don't miss this experience you guys! See for yourself!!! Read more
