Great people-watching spot if you can grab an outdoor table. Large food & drink menu with lots of options. Excellent, friendly... service. The Bourbon Punch was surprisingly tasty & balanced & not to sweet which I highly appreciate. As for the food, it wasaverage. It looked beautiful but neither my husband or myself finished our sandwiches. The Salmon BLT had a funky taste to italmost like the fat line of the fish (the gray meat) was left on. I also wouldn't recommend it with the fat chunk of Brie thatcomes on it. The fried grouper could have benefited by using the same bread that comes on the salmon BLT, as well as, someseasoning. Overall it was too crunchy, oily, & lacked the zing I was looking forward to with the jalapeño tartar sauce. Allthat said, we may have just ordered wrong. I'm up for giving 1920 another shot & will adjust my review accordingly. Read more
Went for a quick Sunday afternoon escape, but I think I discovered my new favorite restaurant! We got a couple of glasses of... wine and their smoked salmon crostini....then I started looking at the rest of the menu! Everything looks so amazing! We'redefinitely going back for dinner. If you sit outside, there are a lot of cars slowly driving by and a fair amount of exhaustfumes. I would recommend making reservations. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars was the service. The hostess forgot togive us menus and our waitress was so busy, she forgot to come back for the check. Other than that, great experience! I'mhopeful for an upgrade to 5 stars on my next visit! Excellent American Food For starters we enjoyed pimento cheese and crackers along with fried green tomatoes all of which were... outstanding. Great food, service and drinks. Hubby and I went here for a date night on a Tuesday. It was busy but we had a reservation and... got seated right away. Staff was in incredibly friendly and prompt. Our server, Reggie, was always checking in on us and wenever waited long for anything we ordered. All the food we had was great- we shared a pear salad, fried green tomatoes, tenderloin tacos, short rib, smoked salmon, goat cheese raviolis and had the fried cheesecake for dessert. These all came fromthe small plates side of the menu but they also offer entree sized selections. Went June 2022. This street is littered with restaurants all within walking distance. Paid parking lot and some street parking... available. For browsers - most of the restaurants have their menus posted outside for review. Went here based on the menuselection and reviews. Seated promptly without a reservation. Nice decor! Our waiter was very attentive. This place hassome outdoor seating, bar seating in the front area and quieter dining area in the back for larger groups. I got the southernfried chicken dinner - $27 - 2 pieces of French cut fried chicken, 1 cornbread, mashed potatoes, green beans and deliciouswhite gravy. It was DELICIOUS. Really solid place for brunch. Shout out to the staff who were welcoming, attentive and so friendly. Truly the staff made the... meal. We had a reservation at 1130 on a Sunday. Easily accommodated stroller. We ordered a cocktail and a beer on tap. The CuCucucumber vodka cocktail was tasty. The sandwiches were all good. Really loved the experience. I?m a big fan of their Seafood Gumbo. I would totally recommend you to dine in and enjoy the meal.... We also tried the Mediterranean plater which might be an americanized version but tasted good. The service was nice. Even thoughthey were swamped at that time we didn?t experience any additional waiting time. Read more
