I stopped by for dessert one night before returning to my room. I asked what options were available and was told they had... chocolate cake. I'm not sure what they poured over it, but it was inedible. When I asked what was poured on top, I was nevergiven a clear answer and not offered a replacement. Read more

I'd like to comment on the world-class customer service i received at Robert's restaurant tonight. Antonio took a personal... interest in ensuring our dinner was a memorable experience. High marks to Masai and Tiffany who visited the table often to seeif we needed anything. They were fantastic! The quality of the meal was excellent. The pastas and appetizers were great! Highly recommended. Thank you, Robert's! Read more

Very fancy place. Very fancy. We loved our experience here. Prices were super high, higher than we like to spend on food but I... expected it at a 4* hotel. I ordered some bbq sauce to drip my fries in. I?m not a fan of ketchup at all. They brought mesomething that looked and tasted like ketchup but was darker than the ketchup they brought me. Told me it was homemade. I foundthe do it because it tasted like an altered ketchup. It surely wasn?t anything I?d call bbq sauce. But beyond that, greatexperience, and very friendly staff. Nothing outwardly wrong, although the food is certainly outshined by the decor. Their salads are their strength, the soup was a... bit bland and the ravioli had powdered rather than grated parmesan. The bread is delicious, but served with cold butter. Thefruit tarte is nice, although the serving is enormous. Read more

My mom and I ate here while staying in Omni. We approached the host stand and weren?t greeted, so we weren?t sure if we were... supposed to seat ourselves. We picked up a menu to see what they had, then we were approached by a male server who asked if weneeded a table. We told him yes, so he took the menus from us and sat us. Nice area, very pretty, there?s an option to sitoutside as well. We were given water and a few minutes to figure out what we wanted. After a little bit, he came back and tookour order. About 10-15 mins later our food was brought out by different server. We ate, it was pretty good. Then we sat forabout 10-15 minutes after finishing out food until we could track the new server down for our check. Overall not a goodexperience, service was bad. We were never greeted, or simply told hello. The first server was rude and disappeared and we neversaw him again. The second server was again rude, not personable at all. She never asked us how our meal was or anything. Foodwas good but wouldn?t go back. For such a nice hotel, I would expect better service. Read more

The dining room is pretty, and the food was unobjectionable (though not particularly great), but our service was awful. First,... the restaurant had no booster seats, only a high chair--which was not really what my 3-year-old needed. It worked out OK, butyou rarely see a restaurant nowadays that doesn't offer both high chairs and booster seats. Another black mark in thekid-friendly department was the mini-hamburgers on the children's menu: the buns were miniature, but the patties were simplyone full-sized patty cut into halves, which didn't really fit the buns. Our server forgot to take drink orders for my son andme (the other adults were drinking wine already by that point); the hostess came by and got milk for my son, but when I askedabout a drink for me, she told me the server would take my drink order, and when I noted he hadn't actually done so, and askedher to ask him about it, she ignored me. For the impression I got, she might as well have said, "It's not my job." The serverdid finally take my order 15 minutes or so later, but after that, he didn't offer to refill either my son's milk or my softdrink until the meal was nearly over. And all of this while the restaurant was nearly deserted--so it's not like the staff wasoverwhelmed. As we were about to leave, I needed to change my son's diaper, and discovered no changing station in the first(small, unisex) restroom I found. I asked the hotel concierge where I could change him, and he gave me directions to the men'sroom...and as I was trying to process those, he added "You're welcome," seemingly indicating that I should have said "Thank you"already. In any case, thanks would have been undeserved, because the restroom lacked anywhere to change a diaper. Indeed, mywife then discovered that the women's room lacked a changing stand as well, though at least there was a couch she could use. Read more

We were in Washington, D.C. in April 2017 and stayed at the Omni Shoreham. Robert's breakfast buffet was fabulous - omelets made... to order, great variety of baked goods, pancakes & waffles, just about anything you could want. For dinner, the herb crustedrack lamb was the best I have ever had and the portion size was more than generous. Caesar salad was fresh and good size. Idid not realize that what I thought was going to be mashed potatoes, were actually pureed potatoes, but other than thateverything else was delicious. My granddaughter had the steak, which was cooked exactly as requested, so that's what I orderedthe 2nd evening we dined at Robert's. Servers were very accommodating. Read more

Can I give it 0 stars!?! If you notice the red goop on my glass, when I noticed it, I told the waiter, and he said "oh they just... take a glass and don't check" I ordered an arugula salad that was old and the romano cheese was almost ready to be thrown out. My wife ordered 1/2 chicken with mushrooms and greens, which were all greasy. All in all, a really nasty experience. Read more
