Reviews for Los Ocampo Restaurant & Bar in St Paul, MN
Walked in and ordered 6 small tacos. Was very hungry so I ate them quickly. I noticed the meat was chewy and tasted bland. As... soon as I was finishing the last taco my stomach was in knots like I ate rotten meat and I was sick for a week. My girlfriendtried to call for me to get a refund. They tried to tell us that's not why I was sick they were very rude they told me the tacoswere fresh when they weren't and told me to speak to corporate who was also rude. They probably did the same thing to the personwho drove into the lobby a while back. Read more

Stopped in for lunch and had the Tacos Americanos. Fast, friendly service. My tacos were delicious. The green sauce is their... hot salsa and it is very hot. I would give it a try! Read more
The food and drinks are awesome. The waitress was attentive and always smiling. All around great experience.
Always been a fan of this fun little corner restuarant on University and Dale. The customer service is excellent and their food... is delicious as well as affordable. Cant quite give it 5 stars because sometimes their beers on tap aren't as fresh as theycould be; more times than not when I visit they are flat and I have to ask for a new one. For this reason I recommend steeringtowards a mixed drink or a bottled beer from the bar if you are interested in an alcoholic beverage. Read more
Same location as other patrons, different experience. When we came in there was one person waiting for a Togo order and one... group of two were seated and into their meal. I came here because I had gone to other locations before and I enjoyed the food. Inoticed two more groups come in and sit in booths across from us. They were seated and given house chips and salsa. We werenot. I don?t understand why we were skipped. It clearly was standard practice. I didn?t ask why we just waited for our food. Theperson who was waiting for a Togo order was still waiting and by now it had to be about 10 minutes, a delivery service came inand picked up a order and The person waiting was a bit upset about the wait. Shortly after that our order arrived. Food wasamazing. We got steak tacos, churros, Mexican corn , plantain and the special which was SUPPOSED to be fish and shrimp tacos. The item is on the bottom of a separate menu and it CLEARLY said 3 shrimp, fish tacos. Yet the waitress came back and asked meif I wanted shrimp OR fish. This would pretty much be the same item as from the original menu. Only difference would be therewas cheese in the bottom or the shell. PRO: Good food CON: Service isn?t streamlined Like my review if helpful:) Thanks Read more
This is a twin cities staple. The menu is a little different than the Taqueria Los Ocampo in Minneapolis (and it?s definitely... more expensive) but it?s a nice dining experience. I had the huarachazo with asada meat and the green salsa and it wasabsolutely fantastic. Fresh onions, avocado, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese and crema with the meat on top of the most deliciousmasa cake. The masa cake is what makes it so fantastic, deep fried to perfection and balancing the sweetness of the corn with alittle salt. It?s so good!! Read more
