This is my go to spot for what I consider "premium pizza". Like many, I am very passionate about pizza. I have been extremely... loyal to the jets at 10 & 94 (and still am) for over a decade, and most of my family worked at the original Buddy's, so I'vespent basically my whole life eating "Detroit style" pizza. And I have to say, this place does it right. As I said I frequentJets, but when I'm feeling fancy I get DSPco as a treat. We wanted to try these guys out, especially after David Portnoy gave a good review. They were by far our least favorite Detroit... style pizza place. We ordered 3 pies, mine was Detroit style and soft on the bottom, with mustard based bbq sauce -ugh! My son,who can't do dairy ordered a round that was basically crunchy cardboard texture with no sauce. My husband's was the best of thebunch, in that it introduced meatballs as a good topping. The workers were great, very friendly and polite. The pizza was good, the kids had the pepperoni pizza and they really in joyed... it. My husband and I got the Harper Hornet, it was good but hot. Will definitely try again but a different pizza. Read more

Order from here regularly and they are not the cheapest but a solid regular pie. I got this bbq chicken pizza which has the... nastiest suace that taste like mustard and garlic. They do not indicate on the website it is not regular bbq sauce. Way too manyflavors in the wrong places. I called to order a new pie and asked if they would waive the deliver fee as this was $22 and thedelivery charge . They are a few blocks away but I cannot leave. They said no it?s not our fault, but I felt it was as bbq sauceis not usually mustard and garlic and yellow. I said let?s meet in the middle on this and they said no we would rather loose acustomer then lose money on a delivery charge. Business school 101 skipped I see. Not going here again. This place is the real deal Detroit all the way. The pizza was awesome, the edges were super crispy and the flavors were... amazing. This was one of my favorite Detroit style pizzas. If there was one flavor I did not like it was their MARGHERITA, butthe rest were top notch. The cheese bread was also Detroit style and fantastic. Wish them the best, great pizza. Read more

This place has the best Detroit style pizza period. It is cooked to perfection. Ordering is also seamless and timely. You must... try the Margherita In The D, it is an experience.
