Where should I start with my experience? I made reservation for our anniversary over a month ago for 5:15pm. First of all, I... checked in and they told us to wait for 15 minutes outside and not inside, Secondly, the front receptionist bumped into me andI got hurt. I do know that was not intentional. With the pain, I sat down thinking it's okay finally indoors. Anyways, duringreservation I had requested window seating and to my dismay they said additional wait time. Just to let you know, they open at5pm and there were tables open near window. They didn't seat us. What the heck? And we had reservation. Anyways, she told uswindow seating are all reserved and won't be available until later. We reserved too. We were seated on high table which wasdifficult for kids to seat. She saw we had two little kids. I would say, not the friendliest front host. Anyways, we orderedoctopus as starter and it was burnt. They don't have kids menu so we ordered chicken with mash potatoes gravy. I wouldn'trecommend this place for kids. Rest of the entrees were okay. We didn't care for the food. I'm so surprised they charged 18%automatically tip. They said it's standard tip for everyone at the restaurant regardless number of people in the party. At leastour server was nice. And I was little disappointed no cocktails. They only serve beer and wine. They smoke on high heat and thewhole restaurant was covered with smoke. They need ventilation indoors. I seriously wouldn't go there again with horrible fronthostess service and food. Read more

The food was beyond delicious. Some of the best we've had up this way. The staff was super attentive, and the patio was very... comfortable. I would definitely request an inside table when you make reservations if it is a hot day. Luckily for us theweather was beautiful on the evening we had dinner as we were seated on the patio. Shrimp and grits pictured below. Also had thehanger steak which was cooked perfectly. Definitely do not leave without trying the garlic bread as well! Read more

This place was well worth the wait to finally get reservations and the 50 minute drive to get to Roseville! We ordered several... different delicious dishes to gain a sense of the southern cuisine. The fried chicken was the best we've had in the entireSacramento region (and we loved the chicken at the former South and The Porch) but this takes southern cuisine to a whole newlevel. The best indicator of this was the collard greens. I love collard greens but they can be a somewhat bitter unlessprepared with care. Chef Q has a unique touch to each of his dishes. We devoured the watermelon and tomato salad, Mac & cheese, black eyed peas hummus, and ate so much we didn't save room for the strawberry shortcake so ordered it to take home and enjoylater. In addition to superbly prepared dishes, the staff there are the epitome of hospitality and attentiveness. Chef Q,himself, comes by each table to ensure guests are enjoying their experience. The hostess and waiters are equally gracious. Theentire evening felt as though we had been invited into a southern home with the easy relaxed comfort of a summer eveningunfolding leisurely just for us. We will definitely be going back and bringing our friends! Read more

We like trying all new restaurants so we thought we checked out this place. The place is not too big, ambiance is ok. Table for a... group of 9 is slightly small. The place is too hot especially for a 106 degrees temp outside. They said that the AC was workingbut it’s how it is. Unfortunately my husband ordered the jambalaya and he was sweating while eating it .The worst of all weordered the lobster bites but with a clump of long hair mixed in the food. In my opinion all food workers must be wearing a hairnet in order to prevent any hair in the food. They replaced the appetizer anyways. It was also annoying that there were 2 hugeflies inside the restaurant flying around. I ordered the rib eye cap but was way too salty for me. For the price of the foodit’s too much for a small portion. But it was an experience. The staff are friendly and nice. Read more

Probably the best dining experience my boyfriend and I had. Food was incredible, I don’t think I’ve ever eaten so much in my... life. We were celebrating our anniversary and the servers/ hostess went out of their way to congratulate us. We ordered theQ1227 burger ( my bf would not stop raving about it), the pan seared salmon, creamed spinach, Mac and cheese, Parmesan crustedbroccolini and for dessert we had the bourbon bread pudding & the brownie ( which they so kindly added happy anniversary decoron top). Overall the nicest staff and delicious food. Read more

I would say like good food, tiny portions, entrees is not enough for one person. I got the steak ???? but I like the veggies... more than the meat itself. Scallop was good, the mac n cheese didn’t stand out. I like the bread pudding, pretty specialtaste.lobster bite is a little bit too small. If you looking for a place to chill, maybe, but not for a dinner dinner. Will giveanother try in the future( the chef Himself was really nice tho) Read more
