I'm not usually one to shop labels because a lot of the time, a high quality name doesn't always equal high quality experience.... That was the case with Carmines. The food was average but the prices were outrageous. The service was average but the ambiancewas just right. Does a linguine dish really deserve a 34$ price tag? Unless there's a little Italian grand mother rolling outfresh pasta by the pound load, then I don't think so. Okay, maybe the linguine had some clams on it.... I had a great time, and the food and service was great! The wine list and beverage list left a lot to be desired, as there were... few Italian selections and they weren't great. I asked the server (John?) What to eat and he was quick to make surerecommendations, on of which was his own version of the skirt steak (pictured). Overall a good experience. Read more
