Very polite, lots of choices.. I ate chicken dressing and beef stew with okra. I enjoyed the okra , the stew was okay the meat... was tender I did not get a lot of veggies in my stew but the ones I did eat where good and tender. The dressing was off,I can?tpeg the taste but some kind of cornmeal mushy taste. The kids got Mac and cheese and one got beef stew and something else. Myson got green beans they both got cornbread and my son got baked chicken breast. Sweet tea for all of us. There was a lot ofwall decor, prices are good food is good. The parking could be better. Kim and Brandy were the sweetest women ever. We are here from Miami for a music festival and do not get hospitality like that!... They are very patient and make a lot of great suggestions. You also get a great amount of food for amazing price. It tastedamazing!! Jalapeño cornbread is so good. The visit here made my trip 10x better. Would definitely recommend. Read more

Excellent food but I have had a grumpy server before that asked the same question at least 5 times while preparing 3 to go... plates. Even after asking the same question multiple times she apparently wasn't listening to what was being answered becauseshe gave us more drinks than we had asked for, leaving one wasted after it was returned. I wouldn't let one bad apple spoil thewhole bunch! The food is excellent, might I recommend going on a Thursday for their special, chicken and dressing! Highlyrecommended for some southern style home cooking, which is getting harder and harder to find around town. Read more
This restaurant is always busy and highly frequented by the locals. They prepare traditional Southern fare. Their pork chop is... nicely cooked, but a bit too salty. Green beans are tasty. Their blackberry cobbler is very sweet and delicious. Not muchparking space. Read more
I have been a Roman since 1980 when. I was born. This is my 1st visit to Stanley's. If you love Pick O Deli and are tired of... how downhill their food has gotten, or that they're serving desserts made by Mrs. Smith & Patti LaBelle, Stanley's is the placefor you. I was guaranteed that someone's Nana is chained to the stove in the back and their food reflects it. Their dressingis flavourful and not gritty, their mashed potatoes made from potatoes you peel and not powdered potatoes (and I know this causelumps), Patti & Mrs. Smith don't make a chocolate chess pie WITH PECANS or cooked banana pudding. The folks there are supernice and seem to have a great rapport with their regulars. When they didn't have fried okra (which I wanted) they made me someand it was quick (and delish). It's also super clean in there. Tables, the place they serve from, the floors are allspotless. I'll be eating here regularly now this place's food is so good. Read more
I gave it a mid ground vote because it?s not bad food but they charge WAY TOO MUCH. I was shocked when we were handed 2 plates... with such small servings for over $25 for the 2 of us. The food on my plate didn?t cost more that $3-4 to cook. Read more
