If you're looking for a more classic, hometown experience for ice cream, South Central Creamery is the place to go. Many kids I... know call it "the penguin place" for the penguins that are painted on the windows - the mascots of the business. They have alarge variety of flavors at reasonable prices, double scoops, toppings, shakes, cones, and more. It doesn't go very far beyondthe basic, but I suppose it doesn't really need to. This is a great place to end hot summer days, and a great place for icecream dates. I personally love their (I've forgotten the name, forgive me) chocolate ice cream, that is literally like 4different kinds of chocolate in one ice cream. It's so delicious! The last time I was there, I remember they charged 50centsfor extra sprinkles, which was a lot in my opinion, but I don't run an ice cream store, so I don't know how much extra sprinklescost in the long run. I'm addicted to the Birthday Cake ice cream. I think about it even when it's freezing cold outside. I dream about it, night &... day. I talk about it all the time. The ice cream here is really good and they bake the waffle cones right in the ice cream shop. The penguin decorations just add... to the cute decor. This place is in a strip mall so look close to find it. Read more
