I have been a fan of Alex's since the day he opened this pizzeria!! I absolutely love the spices, just the way Alex always made... it. I love the consistency of the beef over the pizza. After my dear Alex retired and then passed away, his children havecontinued his great traditional trademark pizza and expanded the restaurant beautifully. It has gotten a bit high, but so haseverything else. We just can't go as much as we would want to. But, I'd rather have Alex's than a steak anywhere. Read more
Alex?s pizza is a Rolla Landmark who?s delicious and time honored recipes have stayed the same?..Delicious?.. for years. The... Greek style pizza here is unique and tasty, albeit a touch on the spendy side. The crust is thin, but only crispy on the edges.And yummmm all the way through! I haven?t been yet, but here it is some of the best in the world ???? I am reviewing it ahead of time just so I don?t forget... about it and can come back to my review and remember where it is!! Next time I come through Rolla on my way to St Louis I willdefinitely be making a stop here. So excited!!! Update, I came!!!! I have been waiting for over a year to try this hidden gem.I had a friend tell me they have traveled the world over and this was their favorite pie. I will say it was delicious ???? Thecrust puffed up a little with great crunch. I ordered extra marinara on the side to dip it in. I did the specialty pizza on halfand the meat lovers on the other side like my server Kelly suggested and glad I did. The pizza is so thin on the bottom and Ilove it!!! Only thing I would personally do is add a little bit more salt to the dough, but I?m sure the clientele love it!!!!And for good reason ???? I love the crispy hand made cheese ball appetizer.
