Reviews for Hong Thai in Rogers, MN
My mom and I were heading to an event. Stopped at Hong Thai. My mom had soup- Thai version of Pho - noodle soup . I had one... of their authentic specialty-I chose beef. Comes on a bed of lettuce and a side of sticky rice. Nice flavors, I love herbs.Had hot tea- Oolong. Also had egg rolls- nice and crispy - wrapper is rice paper which is my preferred wrap over a wheat wontonwrap that you find in most Vietnamese restaurants these days due to the shortage/in crease price for rice papers. Server wasprofessional , very nice. Food is tasty and affordable prices. I asked for her favorites off the menus since this is my firsttime . Will be back! Read more

Okay, before I get to the yummy food, I can?t write a review without talking about how great the owner?s wife, Ally (who you... will find working the store most weekends), is. She is so nice, friendly, and clearly cares an extraordinary amount about thebusiness. Though we?re not the most regular of their customers, she always comes over to say hi and is so nice to our 2 year olddaughter, but it?s not that she does that just for us, it?s EVERY SINGLE TABLE - a huge smile, fantastic knowledge of theirmenu, and courteous to all patrons. Now to the food! I will admit, it took me a few tries to nail down their menu andidentifying how and when to order ?spice?. Their spice levels wonderfully accent very well prepared dishes; our favorite beingthe red curry squash, pad Thai with spice level 4, and spicy basil fried rice. As weird as this may sound, the biggest thing toknow is that their food is not what you may expect from a local Asian restaurant: it?s not the run of the mill salty, deepfried, MSG-tasting chicken/pork dishes. I?d suggest ordering something different off their menu since they have much moreadventurous, flavorful dishes. Read more

Food was quick to the table and hot. Spring rolls and eggs rolls are a must have. Pineapple fried rice has a burnt taste, but... nothing was burnt on the plate. Over all good Pad Thai was good, next will order a 3 for a bit more heat. Service was good andanswered questions well. Had great recommendations for mean choices. Only down side was that if you are in the dinning room youcan hear when people the kitchen. Read more
