I used to eat at Guadalajara frequently in the early 2010?s, and let me say: it?s MUCH better now than it was then! Let me... start off by mentioning that I dined in on Saturday, showing up around 7p. Was promptly seated outside, which was pretty empty,but inside, the place was probably at 70% capacity. Despite being fairly busy, service was quick, and the staff seems to handlea busy night with ease. When it comes to food, I?ll say: we LOVE a basket of complimentary chips! And these chips were *quite*good! And the salsa? yummy! Flavorful, good texture, but also not spicy to the point of being unenjoyable. The Paloma I orderedwas absolutely delightful! For $9~, it far exceeded my expectations, and is truly a good value. I?ve spent 12-14 on lesserPaloma?s in Northeast Minneapolis. I?m going to go back for another Paloma alone! My burrito, the ultimate fajita burrito?again, exceeded expectations. Flavorful with well prepared ingredients, it showed up hot and presented with all the fixings, Icouldn?t have asked for a better meal!!! Really big place, and it's organized nicely. We were given a bowl of salsa and a basket of hot tortilla chips and it was super... good. It was a little watery (not a problem taste-wise) which made it hard to eat because there were no appetizer plates. Iwould recommend giving small plates with the salsa. The main food was delicious though. I loved my seafood burrito and it wassuper flavorful and the texture was wonderful throughout. The shrimp was sooooo good, and the cheese sauce really tiedeverything together. Also, the portion was huge! For dessert, we got the fried ice cream. It was good, I would have liked moreof the outside coating, but the "bowl" it came in was super yummy and cinnamon-y. Overall, I liked eating here. I think the mainhighlight of this place was the seafood burrito which was perfect in every way. Service was fast and very kind, as well asattentive. 10/10 for service Some things that would have made the experience better: - appetizer plates to go with salsa toavoid a mess - have paper napkins readily available/accessible. It was a little inconvenient to have only the one napkin thatwas wrapped around the cutlery - double check to see if the cutlery/dishes are clean. I had a great experience here! The owner is very kind and so was the manager. I had an open house down the street and they were... nice enough to let me advertise for it the couple hours it was open. I stopped in and ate some food after and got the tacos andbeans and rice and my mom got the chicken soup. It was delicious! All of the staff are very nice.
