Reviews for Yeyo's Mezcaleria y Taqueria in Rogers, AK
We went yesterday and had one of the best restaurant experiences that we've had in a long time! First off the cocktails are... absolutely delicious and the food was incredible. Everything was so fresh and well balanced. The chef even made me a specialsuper spicy salsa that wasn't on the menu and it was the best salsa I've ever had! We ended with the $20 mezcal tasting (theyhave multiple options!) And they were hefty pours for the price with 3 yummy and very different options. The tasting comes withgrasshoppers to eat! I know, I know. It sounds weird. But they are honestly really good! And also I can't get over how amazingour service was. Our server was attentive and extremely knowledgeable, as well as just very friendly! Next time we are back inRogers, we will certainly be back. Read more
Cool little place? Can sit inside or out. Not a ton of room to move around (small tables upstairs & not enough room on the table... top for an app & 4 people?s meals & drinks), but a cool, cozy vibe with unique decor. To us, it?s more like a place we?d want tostop at for lunch or drinks & apps. They don?t open until 4pm though, so it?s probably not a place we?d go back to for dinner. There was nothing bad in our experience? just nothing amazing either (besides the decor & location). Still giving it 4 stars b/cI can see a lot of people liking it? It?s just not a dinner place we?d want to go back to, but if you?re on the fence- check itout at least????????. Read more
Very pleased overall with the experience here. Drinks came out a bit slow, but other than that everything was exceptional. We... will definitely be back the next time we are in Rogers! We had the grande quesadilla (Al pastor) and the shrimp tacos, bothwere superb. Read more
Impromptu date night and had a great time. Food was outstanding. Al pastor tacos, fish tacos (minus jalapenos), and guac. All... was really good and came out fast. The mezcal margarita is good, but don't try it if you want a typical margarita. It's smoky. Read more
My wife and I really love this place. We have been to their other locations in Bentonville but like this one much more.... Everything we have tried on the menu has been excellent. From the tacos, quesadilla and the apps - they have all been great. They also have one of the best cocktail programs in town. The bartender is great! This is a small restaurant located inside theOnyx building and has a great vibe. Read more
The Yeyo's flavor tradition holds true in this downtown Rogers location. Again a different menu - it's scaled way down from The... Marketplace menu but has something for everyone including the most discerning Yeyo's fan & leaning towards tacos. Incredibleatmosphere as this rail side historic building got a resto/remod and it's fun. Complimented buy the decor this is food carefullycreated by the Rios family with, I believe to be a Yucatan influence. This location features a mezcaleria BUT, the food the foodthe food! A completely different experience and a highlight for DTR... Some of the very best! Read more
The chilaquiles are amazing and let me tell you why! This restaurant uses non GMO corn ???? flour to make their own... tortillas!!! It gets better??.then they use their own tortillas to make the homemade non GMO chips!!!!! To me this is hugebecause the main ingredient in chilaquiles is the chips. Then I am sure they use an egg from the Rios Family Farm to top it offwith. Yes, they have their own farm!!!!! You ask me how I know this???I have been there. We also tried the Steak ???? tacos???? Excellent!!!! Guess what??.they also raise their own beef! Yes, this restaurant group is serious about the ingredients theyuse. It gets better????Chef Rafael Rios was a James Beard nominated chef???that is huge to a chef like me. They also offer a$200 annual membership if you would like to join the Mezcalitos. This includes all kinds of special dinners, events and there iseven rumors of invite only dinners at the Rios Farm. Other things we tried that were fabulous: El Pastor Tacos, Shrimp Torta,Red Pozole ?Hominy Soup?, we tried all the dips with homemade chips, and this really delicious bean meets tortillas topped withchorizo and crema fresca (so yummy!!!!). The chef ordered me a margarita made with a double clay mezcal, it went so well withthe selections we ordered. This outfit also runs a food truck (when it is not so cold) and has their flagship restaurant calledYeyo's El Alma de Mexico that sits right next to the awesome culinary school Brightwater in Bentonville Arkansas ?The BeverlyHills of America? I call this region. I have to give a personal note to the Rios brothers: ?Thank you so much for caring aboutyour ingredients, and thank you for caring about your community. We as a community are so grateful!? Read more
Coming from all over the south and central Texas areas we've had the best in taquerias and restaurants all over and we're... keeping our hopes up for finding good Mexican food up here. Once again, we were sorely disappointed. We had the appetizersampler of dips, the salsa verde grilled chicken tacos, and the fish tacos. The grilled chicken tacos were pretty good butdefinitely needed the hit of citrus from the limes on the plate to take them up a notch. The fish tacos, sadly, couldn't berescued. Not sure what fish they use but it had absolutely no flavor under the thick breading and other than a couple of "blowyour taste buds away" raw jalapeños, neither did the rest of the fish taco. Our dishes came out incredibly fast which made methink parts had been prepared and kept under a warmer because the soft flour tortillas were extremely crispy in a bad way. I'mwondering if we just caught them on a bad night because even our servers had to be tracked down to get silverware, drinks, etc.We may give the trailer a shot because the menu is exciting but the follow through at the restaurant location was reallydisappointing.
