We used Gourmet Guy for a ?Hawaiian themed? catered event for 250. The food was incredible!! Guests commented all night about... the pulled pork sliders! First time trying, and pretty pleased! Asian chicken sandwich was good, and loved the couscous salad. The eggplant fries were a... nice twist. The only reason giving 4 stars was due to the chicken in the salad being a little too dry.. the dressing couldbarely mask the dryness. Although they are known for their prepped meals. We used Gourmet Guy to cater our wedding. Matt & Julie were amazing to work... with. When we were picking our menu, they had us in the shop and provided a wide variety of options and the food was excellentand easy to make our choices. With any large scale event you may be concerned that the quality might drop with the quantity, butI can assure you that doesn't happen with Gourmet Guy. We received compliments all night and weeks after our wedding about thechicken, pork, and pasta that was served. People also raved about the appetizers that were passed by their staff during thecocktail hour. The staff was courteous and although they were constantly helping you didn't notice their presence. I wouldrecommend Matt & Julie to anyone having a wedding as their catering option. Read more
Gourmet Guy Cafe's may have a condensed menu compared to neighboring diners but that focus showcases the quality and creativity... of their food. I was visiting for the first time as part of Cleveland Burger week and of the 5 burgers I indulged in, GourmetGuy's entry was a ringer. The meat was cooked perfectly and juicy with that crisp outer edge to provide a little bit of charcrunch. What really elevated this was the careful pairing of topping that complimented each other while still allowing theburger to stand out. The decision to use brie as the cheese was genious. It melded with the beautifully caramelized onions . All the while hiding delicately in the background was the perfect hint of truffle oil. But then they go one step further andopt for arugula instead of ice berg, romaine, or greens. That light crunchy spice brought an extra brightness to the finish. Ifthe burger wasn't enough, I was the first customer to have one of their new shakes. I chose the Oreo shake and it did notdisappoint. I really enjoyed that it was not overly sweet. I could taste the ice cream, the Oreo pieces, and the creamy richfinish of the whole milk. It was a satisfying sippable. If you are a local or a visitor, Gourmet Guy should absolutely be onyour lunch list. I look forward to my next visit to explore more of the menu. Read more
Favorite part of Cleveland Burger Week is finding delightful new places. Walking in you immediately feel welcomed and at ease. ... After a quick chat with the waitress we placed our orders and sat down for a short wait. The glorious burger that they servedwas delightful. Cooked perfectly - juicy with some crispy edge bits. Everything was seasoned well and the layers of flavorswere a wonderful surprise. I am not a fan of truffles at all but loved this burger - balsamic onions, truffle oil, brie, andarugula. Highly recommend the burger week burger and can't wait to return to explore more of the menu. Read more
Absolutely delicious ???? ???? . I?m so happy finding a place that caters to vegetarians and vegans. The eggplant fries are... bomb. They literally taste just like regular fries.
