Only drive thru is open. Our first time there. The young man at the window was very helpful. No menu. He tells you what protein... they have u pick rice and a side. My husband had the large oxtail rice n beans with green beans, he finish it. I had stewchicken over white rice, cabbage and yam! Everything was good. I didn?t get the heat from the food which works out great for myhusband who can?t handle spice. I miss it that?s why they got the 4 star. Will definitely go again if we?re in the area. Read more
Considering there are so few (if any?) Jamaican spots in the 252, I had to come take a trip to Rocky Mount to try a Taste of... Paradise. We went early, and the staff was eager to please. Social distancing was in effect, and it was drive-through only. Very responsible. We had the brown stew chicken-so tender!!! Likely the most tender chicken I've ever had. I would have likedmore sauce.. The cabbage was also very good. The rice and peas was just average. The beef patties were better than I've had inDC. Unfortunately, they didn't have plantains when we went. All in all, this is a solid place to check out.
