This was my first visit to Smithfields's chicken n bar-b-q and I was pleasantly pleased. I ordered the combo so I could try the... chicken and the bbq with sides of baked beans and fries. The chicken was absolutely yummy! I wish I would have ordered morechicken, the bbq was good but I am a fan of a more vinegar and saucy bbq. I loved the beans and the french fries are thin morelike a potato stick vs a fry. The hush puppies were ok, but the sweet tea was perfect. Not so sweet that it makes your teethhurt but enough to perfectly sweeten it. The staff was very nice and helpful. I will definitely come back the next time I am inRocky Mount. I love their chicken! First time and it was decent. I could use more vinegar on bbq, chicken was tasty, hushpuppies okay. I didn't like that the... chicken is in a box that can be vented but they weren't punched out so the chicken sweats. Hushpuppies are put on top of bbq sothey end up soggy. Today the manager on duty was not in a good mood. I felt as though I interrupted him when I patiently waited for him while he... made calls trying to get employees to come in. I waited to place my orders for myself and coworkers and he was in such a rush toget me out his hair so I placed my other orders through the drive thru. The bread on my BBQ sandwich was wet and nasty. This isa first time I've experienced unacceptable service at Smithfield Chicken and BBQ. The receipt is the drive thru order. Read more
