We used Mitchell's in Rocky Hill to cater my daughter's baby shower for a breakfast/brunch at 10am on Sat 10-22-22. The food was... very plentiful and tasted great! Roy was very professional and hard working. People loved the breakfast idea as well for havingit early still gives people the day to tend to other things, on their day off. Would highly recommend.. The food is decent. The hollandaise sauce is good! But directions were not followed as asked and repeated over the phone. I... asked for no cheese, They still put cheese on it. I asked for an order of spuds and I was charged, and it was not included. It?s very irritating that they kept talking over me and cutting me off on the phone. I just wanted my order correct. I visited since it was down the street of my hotel, but what a gem! A diner feel but with some really surprisingly nice option.... I loved that they have asparagus as an option, I tried it and it was very good. I also liked that when I traded out theasparagus for the potatoes, they deducted the cost of the potatoes from the plate. Not all places will do that. Top knotch allaround - food and service. Very friendly Hometown atmosphere. Top 3 Homemade corned beef hash. Picture has homemade roast beef hash, very good!! Great... "Spuds" I'm a sauce guy, that's Frank's Hot Sauce on the roast beef hash and ketchup on the spuds, but , I bet, everything isgreat plain. No need to ask for more coffee, great teamwork. Read more

Do disappointed, I stopped in for a to go order and was more than offended by wait staff... I was working so i was in a hurry... and had previously been here (years ago) so I figured I'd grab a quick omelet to go. I ordered, payed and noticed a seat at thecounter was open (2 in fact). Mistakenly thought that a PAYING CUSTOMER was allowed to sit and drink my coffee while i waitedfor my food. the woman behind the counter made sure i knew that was not allowed. She told me to move so a customer couldsit.... Excuse me??? I just spent $18 on an omelet and a coffee. Am i not a customer?? I stood in the corner as i was told. Butnotice the entire time... that seat stayed empty... Congratulations, to the lady at the counter you hands down got rid of onecustomer... I will NEVER return... As for the food, the omelet wasn't worth the money, and the "spuds" aka homefries, werecanned sliced potato thrown on the grill and disgusting. But hey... the toast was good $18 later... Read more

This is my new favorite breakfast place. The prices are so affordable & the amount of food is beyond satisfying. Best of all,... their grits are delish! I arrived an hour or so before closing & the customer service felt homie & inviting. I didn't get therushed or annoyed impression since I came so close to closing. In fact, a man & his kids arrived 10mins, if not less, beforeclosing & they let them dine. This has such a family atmosphere, it's nostalgic. The food came out surprisingly fast, hot & thewaitress had a smile the whole time & genuinely laughed with, us as well. Additionally, I was able to see the food being cooked& everyone fulfilling the orders wore masks & gloves. Read more
