Food and service were very good. Definitely not a fancy place or a "fine restaurant", but we had a nice table with view of the... harbor. We ordered fisherman's plate (cod, salmon, shrimp, scallops) and moose plate. Our first time having moose. We found itto be really tasty. dark roasted meat that had probably been slow cooked. lean and tender. nice flavor, but definitely not toughor "gamey". Waitress was friendly, professional, and prompt. Sunday night dinner in Rocky harbour. Food and service was terrific. We had the seafood chowder, bacon wrapped scallops, and... fish and chips. All were done very well and tasted fresh. Soup was a cod, halibut, and salmon chowder. Very thick and tasty. Weorder the homemade partridge berry pie with ice cream - delicious! Very nice taste and something you don?t get very often. The menu selection seemed great, but our choices were a bit underwhelming. We got cod tongues and the seafood platter, which... were decent, but the rice and carrots that came in the side were bland and underwhelming. Adding a beer, tip and tax, it came to$50 pp. While the food wasn't outright bad, it was pretty underwhelming for such a high cost, particularly compared to otheroptions in town. Read more

The restaurant was super busy in the evening with lots of travelers coming into the park, they made sure we were taken care of... well. Menu had a big selection and both the items we chose were fresh made hot and came out fairly quickly. Sorry, as much as I enjoyed our visit to Rocky Harbour, I can't rate this any higher. The view is great, as it is for anywhere... in town. And I'm fine with the diner vibe; that's what I was after. But it shouldn't come with grumpy service, whitetablecloth prices and generally average food. There are a few options around that have better menus, prices and service. Is ittoo much to ask for a warm welcome, warm vegetables and a refill on the water and coffee? Read more

We had a family dinner tonight. Lobsters, cod tongues, fish & chips, fish chowder. It was a good basic meal.

The hostess and the server were really nice but service was quite slow - that said, I wasn?t in a rush. I was hungry and this... place was the only restaurant open during off season in Rocky Harbour. Had the Cod au Gratin and the Fish Chowder and theShrimp To go. Was pleasantly surprised by the meal and the Fish Chowder was tasty with big chunks of fish. I don't even know where to start. 3 stars because the food was okay and the hostess was nice, but wow the service was terrible... and slow. We saw another table pick up and leave after not getting service. Might have done the same if anything else was open(around 8pm, and the restaurant was quite empty with 2 servers on shift).
